I'm not privy to the info any more than anyone arguing in the other direction. The military for the past 3 years seemed to deem it was the right option to fight. Now all of a sudden the entire allied military still deems it the right option except for ours. I think that should raise some eyebrows, no?
Even in America there is a fair amount of pressure to “support Ukraine” which implies continuing to do what we’ve been doing. My assumption that in Europe that “pressure” is probably significantly more, especially the closer you get to Russia.

I’m all for kicking Putin’s ass and Ukraine getting their land back. The question is, will this ever happen? The last two years have been more or less a stalemate. There is no indication that staying the course will change things.

Not yet, but the UK and others have at least mentioned sending troops. Allies of Ukraine sending troops would/could trigger a response from allies of Russia to do the same. What would we call that if we aren’t supposed to be worried about a world war.

Russia has other allies. China is smarter than that just like the US is. But they are involved in this war just as we are. Moves and countermoves. The US is heavily involved in Ukraine and even in Israel. They have the ability to create chaos for the US in other parts of the world. If China told Russia to stop they’d probably stop.
