A big problem is that without term limits you have to wait for a lot of these politicians to actually die before they’re out of office. Sorry, but both sides have people that have been in office since at least the 90’s and have made this country worse while at the same time enriching themselves. I personally won’t shed a tear when their demise comes but it’s not worth vocalizing these thoughts as it obviously brings out emotions. Hope everyone has a great day.

I do find the "brief and sudden illness" to sound a lot like "rapid unscheduled disassembly" - lending to credibility to conspiracy theories. The drone factory he toured was blown up and he strokes out on the same day. Fabricating a medical excuse would be a lot more palatable than admitting Russians blew up a Senator.

Your generation really chugs on the company line like frat boys on cheap beer. Maybe his aorta was blown up - just leave out the part about external motivation from Russian munitions and don't comment on the state of the rest of his body. Cavs is going down the CIA route a forced medical event. Dismissing the fact he is a logical target as the most pro-Ukrainian Senator is a bit naive even if it ends up being correct.

I have no problem taking shots at politicians on either side. I just felt that to wish somebody bad after they die, either side, is not the time. It’s also not our role to judge.

I totally went overboard and deserve any criticism being sent my way.

Just an FYI, I generally liked LG, but disagreed with him on a number of issues. He wasn’t my favorite by any means.

I agree, and as voters, we have a responsibility to get these people out.

1. Term limits basically give these people a shot clock on how long they have to grift. Something to keep in mind.
2. Get the money out. End Citizens United. Until then, term limits is a non starter.
3. Voters need to get off of their asses, vote in primaries and get these people out themselves. Elections should serve as term limits if there are none, but when you keep putting incumbents into another term....don't piss and moan. Also, see number 2.
