Insanity is following the fool that fooled you all year every year since this was an issue.

It has been a awful hearing of the many musicians that have passed away recently.

Lemmy (Motorhead)
Natalie Cole
David Bowie
Glenn Frey
Dale Griffin (Mott The Hoople)
Mic Gillette (Tower Of Power)
Dallas Taylor (CSNY)

and now Jimmy Bain (Rainbow/Dio)

I'm getting sick of reading about all these musicians passing away. RIP

Just another reason he was great!

I caught the second half of "The History of the Eagles" the other night. Didn't know it had been made and stumbled upon it while flippin' the channels. Nice documentary. Will definitely watch the first half when it airs again.

I watched some of the Eagles documentary the other day and noticed Glenn was wearing an ND shirt. Was he a fan or did he have some sort of ND connection?

I couldn't find anything other than he was a Tigers fan and a Lakers fan.

He also had a Michigan Football shirt on in the Documentary and he and Felder were sporting some Blackhawks gear too which I dug. (below).

Frey in the ND gear could have been simply a function of the era. ND won two National Championships during the band's best years in the 70's. On top of that, there are a lot of people like me that grew in the 70's from Indiana and Michigan that were fans of both teams before the series resumed. I loved ND, I liked Michigan and I hated SC and OSU. I know that's hard for younger people to grasp with Michigan being absolutely hated now but it was the norm in my hometown.

Possibly on their way to play at a venue near ND? Speaking of that, does the campus host major concerts or has it ever? When I was a student at Bama, we had several major artists at our basketball arena (Hendrix & Zeppelin both played there earlier in the 70's). Most large universities used to have major rock artists do shows on campus, but I've never heard any of you guys mention it happening at ND.

The Eagles played the ACC a few times in the 70's.

Everybody played there back in the day.

Glen Frey opened up for Tina Turner at the ACC on Sept 5, 1985.

The Eagles played there in '74, '75 & '79

Not a rock star, but a favorite of mine:

I'm beginning to feel that I'm runnin' on empty.

Don Henley: Eagles probably won't be performing again - CNN.com

By Lisa Respers France, CNN
Updated 6:29 PM ET, Sun March 13, 2016
(CNN)The Eagles tribute to late band member Glenn Frey during the Grammys in February may have been their last performance.

Don Henley told BBC Radio 2's Simon Mayo that he and his fellow band members had a tough time performing with Jackson Browne a month after Frey died in January at 67 following complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia.

"It was very difficult and very emotional," Henley said "We actually almost didn't do it."

Henley said it was probably the last time the group, known for hits such as "Hotel California" and "Take It Easy," jams together.

"I think it was an appropriate farewell," he said. "I don't think you'll see us performing again."

The band split in 1980 and reunited in 1994 with the live album "Hell Freezes Over."

In 1998, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and in 2013 launched the History of the Eagles -- Live in Concert tour to help promote a documentary of the same name.

That's a shame! (In a way.)

I bet Glenn would want them to go on.

Must have been the very early seventies, Jimi died in September of '70. And As I remember, Janis Joplin died about a month later.

I know you all thing of Toledo as Podunk, and the U of Toledo as a MAC school, second class.

But, the UT Student Government hosted a series of concerts in those days second to none. I got to see them all because I had family in the SG.

In the winter of '69-'70, UTSG hosted both Jimi and Janis, each of course within six-months of when they passed.
