Reds manager Bryan Price was not too fond of a Reds beat writer tweeting the whereabouts of an injured player recently, and followed up with this hilarious tirade which includes 77 F-bombs. Enjoy!

Dude's definitely going to be a little lighter in the wallet after this one.

Reporter should have promised never to report on injured players again if Price promised never to bring Kevin Gregg into another game.

YES!!

If Price is going to go off on anybody it should be his team. Fundamentals boys, fundamentals...

Idk, this was uncalled for, but at the same time, C. Trent (what a name!!!!) has been the target of a few tirades recently.

I'm starting to wonder if it's that old Raylan Givens thing:

You meet an asshole in the morning, you met an asshole. You meet assholes all day, you're the asshole.

So, does C.Trent keep meeting assholes from the Reds? Or is he doing something, beyond just reporting, that makes him the asshole?

I understand frustration w/ regard to press. No one really gets pissed about questions...per se. I think guys know what will get printed regardless of how they answer...and that is frustrating.

That said...come on man, grow up. Its ok to show some fire...but when you throw in profanity to that level, you lose the benefit of the doubt...I mean even if you have a point, all anyone does is look at you and think "adolescent", and then look upstairs, and question the organization's commitment to professionalism. When that happens a few times, you may as well be Dan Quayle, because thats the treatment you are going to get...and then no free agents want to be around that crap...and the death spiral commences/continues.

I wish these guys would treat this job like a school teacher...children ask some crazy questions, and perpetuate some funny rumors as relates to teachers, administrators, and their classmates...the press are generally a 4th grade homeroom class...just laugh to yourself, and try and help them with real information when you can...when one of them gets way out of line with something they print, put 'em in time out (ie snub them), when they ask a crazy inappropriate question, frown, correct them, and move on...sheesh, you make enough money...stop being such a bitch, stop making it about you, and get your head right.

Blew another save today ...

I think the first game he played this year was against the Pirates (I'm going off memory here).

I think it was the first 3 hitters he faced crushed the ball, but 2 were long outs (one great play by Byrd, the only one he's made all year) and one hit I think. McCutchen was up next. I turned to a buddy and said how there is no way you throw one around the plate. I turned around to see McCutchen had tied it up, and he was trotting around the bases. I still don't know if the pitch was around the plate....

The guy is bad. Like, super awful bad. The fact that he and JJ Hover are in the same bullpen is astounding.

Kevin Gregg as a closer is laughable, he started with my Halos, but unlike others over the years, like Jenks, Walden, Jepsen, etc... There ain't no way Gregg was ever a closer... Just another 'good' arm out of the pen....

Cubs fans know all too well how frustrating he is as a closer.

He's not even Cincy's closer, his job is to bridge the 8th to Chapman.

The problem is that he can't do it haha.

He actually came up huge today, but Price left him in one batter too long, which anyone could have seen coming, and then ruined any confidence Gregg may have built.

Price is already on borrowed time. It's not his fault that his bullpen is garbage and that his roster is so thin (that's on Jocketty), but it IS his fault when he absolutely fails to manage around those issues when the possibilities are there.
