Ok..time for me to pony up. After being here for as long as I have been and to only post premium links, I think it's time to roll up the sleeves and get dirty with some of you so of all the recruiting services, is there one recruiting service in particular we could use a little help with?

If you are going that selfless path, I'd say either Scout or one of our primary recruiting rivals 24/7 or Rivals site.

Or if you don't want to be quite THAT selfless, I'd say get ISD. Lots of people seem to have II or BGI subscriptions, and are real good about getting the info out to the IE community, but not that many seem to have ISD ... we really have to rely on Ironman, clashmore, Lax, Hollywood and a few others. I feel like there is a bit of a lag time sometimes when people post ISD links, whereas when people post II or BGI links, we get a synopsis on IE pretty much instantly. Especially BGI ... GITF, lucci, myself occasionally and others tend to be all over that.

The info on 24/7 is outstanding. I personally don't like the boards. Also great info on Rivals, and you get a great network of articles to read. But the boards have too many miserable POS's and workout warriors to deal with for my taste (seriously, the "Tough Guy of the Year" Award on IE would be laughed at by many of those clowns).

I like ISD personally because of the mods, the info, and the boards. I've gotten to know plenty of the guys there and tailgated with many of them, including a couple of the mods who I've hung out with away from football and they are great people. The downside is you don't get a network of articles (from other sites) to read like you do with the other sites who aren't independent like ISD is.

Truth is, this site has grown so much that we have posters on every paysite. Do Scout if you want to do a site that nobody reads LOL (that place has taken a dump since MF left to run ISD); otherwise, read the thread that Ironman linked and choose which one you think will fit your likes. Good luck!

247 board sucks. Mods are good.

II board is entertaining. Mods are good.

I'd feel bad suggesting you pay for Scout.

The only thing I like about 247 board is that Terry Hanratty occasionally posts.

247/isd/rivals all offer something different.

247- is recruiting central they capitalize off going 250% on recruiting. but overally their individual recruit profiles arent as indepth as rivals

irishill - if you want team info they provide it. they have good sources within the football offices and with people in the know. they lack in recruiting dishes compared to 247, but as i stated previously their player profiles are second to none.

ISD- is a mixture of irishill and bg. christian is one of the best in business in recruiting info. isd lacks true journalism compared to rivals, but if you can look past some grammatical errors in articles its not a bad site.

scout - is a joke. time passed them by and they never adapted.

All the sites boards are crap. Someone could bring logical thoughts to a thread and the first reply is calling them out, arguing, or degrading them. IE has a nice active board where respect is mutual for the most part but obviously doesnt have the perks the others do

Thinking about getting a II subscription, also considering ISD. Read through this thread a bit and am still unsure. Any suggestions?

I have ISD, II, and 247. I like all 3. They each bring something different.

I've always preferred rivals rankings over others since I began following recruiting, so that makes me lean towards them.

Right now ISD is probably the best for indepth info. 247 is more than likely going to break the news first with Wiltfong, but Loy is kinda on the weaker side. Christian from ISD is the best in the biz right now with getting in contact with kids.

I was strongly considering switching from 247 to ISD but Loy stepped up the coverage of the opening and I'm gonna stay with it for a little longer. A lot of the guys gave been raving about ISD lately.

Thanks for the advice guys. Really appreciate it. Like I said I was pretty much between II and ISD. I honestly was leaning towards ISD and was looking for someone to tell me otherwise. I think I've made my decision. Go Irish!!!
