I feel I'm becoming the Radio of this board.

Mentally challenged poster who shows up, gets beat up by the popular posters, and a friendly poster (Koonja) takes me under his wing...

And...

I'm okay with that?

I thought this was going to be a thread about the long and storied history of the Radio in our culture, and its slow, sad decline in modern times. Instead, it's some guy coming out as the more heart-warming cinematic version of The Waterboy. Who hangs out in a van all day. I'm very let down here, guys.

feel free to post...just my .02 you don't have to post every thought...that wasn't aimed at you just in general...the worst are when people just comment for the sake of commenting and they are just saying the same thing that has been said numerous times in a thread or don't add any value...UNLESS you throw in a funny gif or hot girl...or the always famous

I vote for that to be an actual thread. I'm very "in tune" (get it!?) with the decline of country radio over the last ten years as serious genre musicians like Vince Gill and Alan Jackson have given way to the rise of pop country, bro country, and the dreaded "hick-hop." I could go on for pages about the impact that radio station consolidation has had on the country music landscape, and I'd love to hear what rock and hip-hop fans have to say about their preferred genres as well.

Thread of the year. Hands down. And If your self proclaimed Radio, I vote Koonja as the Waterboy

I'd be careful who you associate with. Being Koonja's wing man will not win you popularity votes with many people here

I'll second this nomination. The Koon should change his avatar to Bobby Boucher...or at least back to the Coon.

Being popular is for chumps.

Can't do it. Apparently some on here found that along with my username being 'koon' racist. Stretch, I know, but it's always gotta be something with the drama mamas, lol.

Yeah, quite the stretch to make that connection if you're using Cartman as "The Coon" for an avatar. The Coon was nothing more than a parody of the string of dark super hero titles that had come out in recent years (Dark Knight, The Spirit, Watchmen, etc). You can be faulted for a number of things, but racism is not one of them.

You could write a book-- BOD SQUAD: "How kuehnja* became koonja, an allegedly racist pederast"

*pronounced KEEN, J.A.

I actually opened this thread thinking it might be a discussion of the state of radio in America today which would be an interesting topic to discuss. I was slightly mistaken.

I have read all the posts and I am a bit stupider for doing so. But since there were only 21 posts, not too much stupider.

Must have been a guilty pleasure if you continued to read after the first post :)

You're underestimating this thread! Sometimes it's about the quality (or lack thereof) as oppose to the quantity!
