Who's coming to the game? I got lucky when my wife's uncle got us 2 tix as a congrats for our new jobs.

The tickets are actually on the field, behind one of the endzones. He feels bad because I guess you can't see some of the action and some people don't like being down there, and those were the only tickets he could get at such a late notice. But I'm thinking it will be awesome to be on the field? Am I being foolish? Do those 'seats' suck? If anyone's ever had tickets there, let me know how you liked it.

Anyway, who's making the trip?

As a student at ND I'll be there for all home games this year! I've worked a game as a student manager a few times, and although it can be hard to see stuff at the opposite end of the field, it's a really neat perspective to have for one or two games. You kind of get the experience the players get, with the stands towering over you and during big plays it can be really loud and exciting. Even if the view isn't perfect, it's a really cool view that you might not want to have again but is definitely something that is neat once.

Hard to see much but you may have an opportunity to meet some cool people that are on the field. Neat to do if you've never had those tickets before.

Aye Aye, as far as the field tickets, no experience but always wondered how you got those. I have never seen them on sale before.

My wife has to work this weekend. eNDzone and I were thinking about running up there but now I will have to find a sitter. I would say a 50/50 shot at it. If I do go there I will buy my tickets there. Should be more than a $25 game to get in to.

take PICTURES!!!

I will be there for this one. Taking my son, some of you know him as Rees 4 Heisman, with my two brothers and dad. Really looking forward to a great game.

Funny story. My dad and brother went to Senior Day in 2006 against Navy, Quinn's last year. I still have the voicemail on my phone from when my dad called and said "We are in the stadium and our seats are ON THE FIELD, I repeat, ON THE FIELD!!!!" Still love to listen to it, to hear a 50 year old man whose first time at ND was on the field was incredible.

I'll be there...tailgaiting around 8am and then sitting in section 2 (endzone below touchdown jesus). I've never sat in the endzone, but I have sat on the field on the goal line. It's cool to be up close but it is hard to see. Maybe since you wont have sideline traffic to look over you'll be able to see more.

I forgot about this though...two of my friends sat in the endzone when ND beat Utah a couple of years ago. Everyone stormed the field...they said it was the best sports game they ever attended (both are not big ND fans). Ofcourse, all the action was in their endzone that game too.

I'll be there...drunk out of my mind and looking to party.

I had field tickets with the Knights of Columbus in '09. They aren't the best when the action is at the other end of the field, but when something happens in your endzone they kick ***.

Ill be making the trip up on saturday, bringing a friend of mine whos never been so we'll be doing all the gameday traditions. Speaking of, is the team still walking the "new route" into the stadium?

Sitting at home in Ireland wishing I could repeat last weekends experience. Will be watching it on the laptop while pretending to watch TV with my wife. Dont mind 3.30 kick offs but evening games are in the middle of the night here. Can only get to half-time before I have to give up. Michigan will keep me up.

I believe they are. Something Kelly wanted, and I don't think it will change as long as he's here.

I'll be there. I am at this game every year usually. I am always torn at this game too. I am a Purdue alumnus while my Dad and sister are ND alumni. Growing up I never anticipated rooting for anyone else other than ND in college football, and even after graduating from Purdue I still feel weird at this game as if I don't want to cheer for either team, just watch. It is always great to be part of the gameday atmosphere at ND no matter what though.

My girlfriend wanted to hang out Saturday and I said I could on the condition that we watch the ND game. She said that sounded like fun.

She has no idea what she's gotten herself into. I'll let y'all know if I'm single by monday.

Are you going to see the trumpets before the game? I want to see that in person so bad.

There'll be a group of five of us. One current grad student in bioengineering (who grew up an OSU student but immediately converted hahah). One whose grandfather played football and basketball in the 1930's. Another friend whose sister went to Michigan, but became a pretty big ND fan in college (at BGSU). But most importantly....our other close friend, my former OSU roommate and quite possibly the biggest OSU fan on the planet, is making his first appearance. He is a brainiac and could probably get into ND for bioengineering (or biomedical engineering or whatever...), so I want him to have a great experience.

The question is, what do I need to show him to have a truly homerun gameday? I've only seen the player walk, and it's awesome but it won't blow you away.

What is the deal with this trumpets dealio? I assume that's the playing of trumpets in the Administration building? That sounds pretty awesome, and probably compares to Ohio State's "skull session," sans the players and coaches but definitely more classy.

Suggestions?

Trumpeters under The Dome are a must see. I saw them last year before the Air Force game. We stood up on the top level and looked down on them. Goosebumps !!!

Stealth fly over was a surprise also.

My sons and I are probably going and will be looking to score some cheap seats.
