When is the release again? I keep fearing that I'll miss it.
There is a game update ready for us already as soon as the disc goes in the system.
Thank Jesus.
Good for them for addressing issues on release day and not five weeks after... but how in the world are there THAT many bugs that weren't caught in development??? I saw the post on EAs site and that is one long *** list of bugs...
also, ability to edit rosters in Dynasty... does that mean edit RATINGS?? B/C you could edit just about everything else already...
anyway
Ratings.
It mentioned that for online dynasties the commish will have that ability, and IIRC there was a joke about having the commish being someone you trust to not cheat.
I guess this is good though... b/c last year Alabama (AFTER ONE YEAR OF BEING BACK, year and a half at the most)... would play for the title game every flippin year for the first ten years unless you directly scheduled them and stopped them... so the ability to knock certain teams or players down mould be nice under those circumstances... just enough so it's more realistic...
ALTHOUGH what i really want is the ability to play cpu games in OD, or at least a commish option to do so, like you can in offline dynasty...
I like the whole OD being posted online and archived... that is AWESOME... but again, like teambuilder and CC and other nice features a few things ruin it for me...
first, you can't play cpu games... why can't I just play with Miss St and beat bama once a year to keep it from getting cartoonish... i.e. Bama/Florida in the SEC title game every year with the winner in the national title... I would honestly have much more fun with that than destroying a team roster so they don't win 50 straight reg. season games... if you can edit rosters there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to play cpu games...
second... allow us to play OD games OFFLINE, or at least have the option to do so,... then upload the results... again, we can edit rosters so cheating is not that much of a concern... MY ISSUE last year was that every time I went to play an OD game, (again, one where Bama is in the title game every flippin year) PSN seemed to be down, so I couldn't play at all... it was frustrating to say the least... i would love to be able to just archive an offline dynasty online in their servers... but whatever...
I also want a way to edit or create unis in game... stadium editor would be nice too
On the subject of Bama....I scheduled them every year while I coached at Iowa....I had a rematch 3 of 7 times in the NC game against them!
drove me nuts last year... win one title and suddenly they are the greatest team in the history of college football in this game... The only time they didn't make the title game in the first 8-10 or so of my Dynasty was when I took it upon myself to play teh SEC title game or play a few of their reg. season games...
and it would seem according to the ratings it'll be more of the same this year...

Is there room for anyone else? If so I am interested.
Is anyone planning on being a D-coordinator?
Is anyone planning on being a D-coordinator?
If the game plays like the demo... HELL YES I'm a DC... it may be much easier to move up... hell I might just jump in this at the last to take ya'll money if that's the case....
defense wins championships...
I enjoy doing both, so I'm imagining that I'll be taking a Head Coaching job as soon as I find one offered to me...but having more focused goals allows you to concentrate on a few things instead of everything.
All I know is that I get Oklahoma, Boise State, and Oklahoma State all in the first 4 weeks of dynasty play. My focus is on scoring enough to keep up with them. I can't imagine Tulsa's D will be extremely effective in stopping any of them, even with a human calling the plays. If I have a good D line I may play as a DC. But Tulsa isn't known for being very stout defensively. I'll probably have more fun flying around and making plays with Kinne and Johnson.
It'll be almost impossible to beat those teams playing only 1 side of the ball.
The cpu will make you fumble a few times and it will be like super-sim when you're on defense.
TD, TD, TD, FG, etc
While this is probably true, from how I understand it as long as you fulfill your goals on offense you will be sought after at higher gigs.
If you rack up major points and the D lets you down, it shouldn't matter terribly much...other than recruiting of course, which can have a pretty serious effect on how you're able to do your job going down the road.
