Sorry for the implication that people on this site dont get the espn entertainment angle- I meant that for the guys who havent figured that out yet, I know you guys have espn slotted in the right catagory-irrelevant.

Gradually over the past 10 years, ESPN has developed into a twin program to The View. A bunch of old women who, instead of reporting on actual sports, spend 90% of their time interviewing each other and attempting to deliver profound social commentary.

The solution is TiVo. Watch the bottom line score crawl while getting dressed in the morning, skip the commercials and keep the sound turned down so you don't throw up on your work clothes.

yet the average Irish recruit has gone down in rankings AFTER signing with ND over the last five years... that's fact. MOST recruits are ranked BEFORE they even show anything about where they are going.... that's fact. and ESPN themselves named Jimmy Clausen the "once in a decade prospect" when he was USC's to lose... once he verballed to us he dropped out of their top five for THAT YEAR and they gave the top spot to Marc Tyler, Jimmy's HS teammate,.... a USC verbal....

Colin Cowheard is to Notre Dame what MSNBC is to Conservatives... at least TRY to have your facts right

I never even knew about this guy until I read this thread, obviously I would not know that he attended ND for a year and played basketball. I listened to an interview with him and Bob Davie about the ND vacancy on the ESPN "The Herd" site. Also listened to this interview with Holtzhope it works)

Interesting to hear Holtz's opinion. I can see where people find Cowherd a bit annoying. He is a showman though. That's his job.

I dont listen to Cowherd and wouldnt know what he said except that ND forums seem to get so riled up about it.

He is basically Rush Limbaugh. Someone who says stupidity to get peoples attention adn to feed a certian segmant what they wanna hear. People who listen to them are people who cant form an opinion so they need to be told what to think

I didn't listen to him. I listened to what Holtz, Davie and Tim Brown had to say about the program. It was interesting. I posted the links on the NeuteredDoomer thread. Holtz said the same thing some poster on here somewhere said - Hire an experienced college coach that has won. Kind of a no brainer, but it was in interesting "listen."

What makes him such a D-bag is that before the season started, he picked his surprise team as......NOTRE DAME!!! He said they would get 10 wins and would be very good this year. His reasoning was that successful college teams have experienced O-lines and because ND was returning all their starting line and had over 100 total combined starts that they would be a BCS team this year. So for him to bash them now, I think he is just trying to cover his butt and save face. But yes he is still a D-BAG!!!
