I don't put anything past people these days.

This is pretty brutal and with everything he already has going on health wise, maybe he needs to hang it up for good. I don't think money is an issue, obviously.

Sorry to hear about your dad. For my mom, she had her bladder removed after doing chemo for three months. The cancer ended up metastasizing to her bones, and she went pretty quick after that. Depending on how virulent a strain of cancer Sanders has, he definitely needs to keep up with any post-op treatment.

Yup, no matter how you feel about Deion as a person and coach, cancer is a mother fuckin' bitch. Fuck cancer, glad he seems out of the woods now.

I'm still where I have been since day one with this... He was a self-serving idiot as a player, but he seems to have grown as a coach. I still cannot believe he had anyone sold on making CU a power again or that he was some generational coach, and anyone who pointed out the obvious was just as hater or worse by his fan club. It'll be interesting to see where he lands next as it does look like the CU thing is running it's course.

I don't think he's grown at all as a coach or a person. I think he's created a new persona where he is the wise sage, but I'm not buying it. All the "he cares about his players stuff" is a ruse too. This is the guy who came in and told an entire program full of kids to pack their bags and get out within the first few minutes of meeting them. His roster is a revolving door or players who have nothing good to say after they leave. He constantly throws them under the bus when they lose. He's a narcissist who is mad at the fact that he's old and can't play anymore.

I don’t see the complete ass clown he was as a player… thinking back to his previous job when his kicker missed that kick in the playoffs… prime the player would have ignored him. He made a point to lift the kid up numerous times. Things like that. No, I do not think he’s a good coach, or that he’s pulled some complete 180. No, I do not think he’s the complete self serving ass hat he was in his playing days. Both can be true

Deion has significant health issues even for a former NFL player and a 59 year old. He doesn't need the money to be doing this. I don't know what he gets out of it.

That program has been crap for 30 years. He brought a lot of hype and a 9-4 2024 season with him so far. It was entertaining at first. i really have no idea who can win there, especially in this era, provided they don't have money flowing through the program for NIL deals. The people in Boulder are probably going to get bored again fast if they're not going to bowl games at the very least.

What he did at Jackson State was better work. On and off the field.

It was initially to get his kid the Heisman and the number 1 draft pick. Then it became completely about his ego because people called him out on it. I genuinely believe he thought after 9-4 he was on to something and was going win the national championship. Now he's stuck because he absolutely doesn't want to prove all the "haters" were correct that he wasn't a very good coach.

Which he did. It was Travis, the adopted son, not Shedeur.
