Just saw a quote with him saying “this is the toughest stretch of my life” … just shows you cannot win with just playmakers. You have to build the OL/DL to compete!!
He may find out that he just can’t relate to good-to-very good players which is essential to a good CFB program. If he can only relate to elite superstars then he has set himself up for failure. It’s the same reason an all-time great hitter in baseball is a horrible batting instructor. They can’t understand what it’s like to not have elite hand-eye coordination, super quick wrists, etc. Being a true teacher (coach) is extremely challenging yet rewarding.

Every time they show him on TV it looks like he regrets getting into coaching.

It’s always me me me with sanders, it’s never about the team. All eyes on him, I would be stunned if he’s still the coach there after next season

He said this wouldn't be a normal rebuild. When you take over a one win team and win four the next year, that's pretty much what a normal rebuild looks like.

By Prime's standard, which he set the bar for himself out of his own mouth, this season ends up being a failure. They're selling tickets and merch but they're not winning relevant like CU was in the mid 1990s when anyone last saw them. He's got tons of work to do to get them to that point.

LOL. Anyone who upon first meeting his future team repeats the mantra "I'm coming" twenty times is far from humble.

Deion constantly hyping himself up backfired horribly. It put their disastrous collapse front and center. Going from 1-11 to 4-8 is actually pretty decent improvement but the absurd media attention makes it feel like a letdown.
He's going to say it was "God's will."

The lack of self awareness is astounding. Like Prime Yime is the complete opposite of humble. I don’t know how he says this with a straight face.

CFB is littered with coaches that have done something similar before.

Zero are quite like this one, though, are they?

He said it wasn't going to be a regular rebuild. It ended up being exactly that. A 1 win team went to 4.

Then you put it into context: They started 3-0, then were 4-2, finished 4-8. In the grand scheme of things, it's hard to put into context because the head coach in this instance backed up his own talk for about a month and then everything exploded in his face.

We are lucky to have a program and coaches who recruit top tier offensive linemen. Deion has seen first hand how hard it is to build a line, and no one is going to be able to do that through the portal. Offensive linemen are a different kind of player and he will need to get assistants who can appeal to the partially insane corn-fed southerners and Midwesterners who end up being good linemen.

Not much different from a coach taking a bunch of JUCO's IMO, but you're right it was just a 1 win team getting to 4 wins which isn't anything unusual. Louisville went from 1 win the previous year to 7. Iowa St went from 2 wins to 7. Snyder took KSU from 1 win to 5. Holtz took S Carolina from 0 to 8 wins. Maryland went from 2 to 7. Rutgers went from 1 to 5. Syracuse 1 to 5.

If this had been any other coach at CU, there wouldn't be all the attention.

Did anyone see him do anything on the sideline during any of the games? I only saw him talk to his sons after the made mistakes.
