Always did
Vance or DeSantis for the GOP. You may not care for Vance's position on some things, but in his interviews, he comes across as smart, articulate and owning the platform. You would think that in today's world we would see less of this kind of shit with how easily it is to fact check everything more. Really disappointed with him. Still can't believe these are two choices we're all choosing between. Leadership at the top of both parties is severely lacking. Going to be really interesting to see who our options are in 4 years regardless of who wins this year.
Not sure how you can truly tell with that pic, but it's been three months, so it should.
2020 version of Vance I would've been perfectly fine. Don't care for DeSantis one bit. Ideally I'd like to see a Republican candidate that distanced themselves from Trump and never came back to being a Trump sycophant. Vance is incredibly well spoken and I wouldn't have an issue with the old version of himVance or DeSantis for the GOP. It's funny because his 2022 pivot to get a Trump endorsement for Senate just seems so.... fake. So calculated "this is what I need to do to win." Like he clearly doesn't believe some of the talking points on the election "steal", tariffs, etc. because you can just tell / see how differently he talks when he's being authentic on a topic. When he is actually saying what he believes on topics he cares about I thought Vance did really well in that debate.2020 version of Vance I would've been perfectly fine. "Can I have this loan government"
"No, sorry, you are Hispanic/White/Asian, you are denied"
Yeah I'm sure this is constitutional

How the Democrats have been unable to field a respectable candidate since the Obama administration is truly remarkableThe beauty of "and others" lol...
Her campaign is bad, and this is another example of why. A totally online, mostly fake piece of bait has been going around the past few days of "black men don't want to vote for Harris because 'she has no plan for Black men'"... so some aide thinks "oh what I should do is make a pandering piece of official campaign media that says what she is doing specifically for black men"...
Well it's all just repackaged stuff that applies to everyone. And it's going to turn off more people than there are black dudes who read that and go "oh ok I wasn't going to vote for Harris but now I am." Democrats truly have the worst strategists because they all live in bubbles.
He kicked ass in the debate, especially like you said, when speaking about things he truly believes and cares. But like you said he comes across very fake since the 2022 pivot. It's funny because his 2022 pivot to get a Trump endorsement for Senate just seems so.... fake. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes
Doesn’t matter who it is- 2028 candidate will get pounded in ‘Worse than Trump’ coverage. Vance has been excellent in his management of the media. DeSantis executes better than anyone. Both would be excellent choices for the nomination in 28. Vance is probably bettter odds of uniting the base.2020 version of Vance I would've been perfectly fine. Don't care for DeSantis one bit. The besides being extremely well spoken and obviously pretty good at playing political game, I think the best thing Vance has going for him is still really green politically, and kind of unknown. I think it helps because he easily pivot on some positions to be a more unifying presence. It's why I'm surprised he straight up attached himself to the Trump wing of the party. I still he can eventually win some of us that extremely disillusioned with Trump, it just gets harder and harder the more his attached to him.Doesn’t matter who it is- 2028 candidate will get pounded in ‘Worse than Trump’ coverage. The short, simple answer is that the party has moved waaaaaayyyyyy left hard and fast in the past 15-20 years. How the Democrats have been unable to field a respectable candidate since the Obama administration is truly remarkable
I get that sentiment but I don't think that's actually the case and you're example of Hilary in 2016 proves it. They had a much further left candidate. But the party went with Hillary. That rubbed a lot of the Bernie bros wrong. And really soured any independents they may have courted like myself (not for political beliefs, but for how the DNC handled that whole process). And this year they pulled strings in an even worse way, by giving the nomination to Kamala. The short, simple answer is that the party has moved waaaaaayyyyyy left hard and fast in the past 15-20 years.
Pushing Biden out for Kamala this year, my guess, will prove to be as big a mistake as Hillary was in 2016.
Came here to post this too. What the fuck??![]()
Trump cuts short his town hall Q&A in favor of songs from rally playlist
Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign seized on the moment with a social media post saying the former president looked "confused."www.cbsnews.com
Bizarre to say the least.
JRE too.Harris continues to have very good polling numbers that reversed the Biden losses, has more than doubled Trump in fundraising, has twice as much cash on hand, kicked Trump's ass in the debate, and now we've moved from criticisms of 'no interviews' to interviewing on Fox News being a desperate move.
Yes, it hasn't been a super memorable campaign historically speaking but arguably this has been a wise campaign all things considered. Even given the differences in how Harris vs. Trump are judged (massively!) I don't think many expected Harris to be doing this well. Trump hasn't had any momentum since she came on.
The Democrats are still center-right for the most part, especially fiscally, compared to the Western World. I think it's true the developed world has largely been moving left for a while (and the DNC has plenty of internal battles because of it) but it hasn't been hard or quick at all.I get that sentiment but I don't think that's actually the case and you're example of Hilary in 2016 proves it. I think both parties going into 2016 were both without an identity and established leadership. Trump manage to capitalize on that but no one on left did. Then DNC went and gave us Harris, thinking that's what people wanted. But the leadership on the left is so out of touch with reality and now we're stuck with this shit show. We've allowed the loud vocal minority of each side too much of a platform because they make for good entertainment, but they're all idiots and we're paying for it as country. We need strong leadership from some more central candidates from both party, or the country is only going to continue to get worse, regardless of who wins.
His job is to sell Trump's vision so I get it. He seems like a guy who would get an A on a paper defending or advocating for anything whether he believes it or not. It's funny because his 2022 pivot to get a Trump endorsement for Senate just seems so.... fake. I think we all kinda know why Hillary won the 20163 primary and it had nothing to do with being more moderate than Bernie.I get that sentiment but I don't think that's actually the case and you're example of Hilary in 2016 proves it. I have no idea who is going to win, but if I go off your post, one would assume Harris walks on water and is polling like 70% - 30%.Harris continues to have very good polling numbers that reversed the Biden losses, has more than doubled Trump in fundraising, has twice as much cash on hand, kicked Trump's ass in the debate, and now we've moved from criticisms of 'no interviews' to interviewing on Fox News being a desperate move.

Yeah, in addition to that, here's what Trump is doing:
It's weird that there is radio silence on a guy that is nearly 80 flailing about in his public appearances, slurring his speech, losing his train of thought, etc.
