This is truly incredible, she is incapable of coming up with any genuine new ideas other than communism and copying what Trump and Vance come up with

Her two favorite authors are Stalin and Lenin.

She's going to take Joe's money machine in for a tune-up, add some horsepower and make Joe look like Scrooge.

Minnesota has been mess for years. Correct me if I'm wrong, LAX (I think it was you anyways)....but I recall someone posting a lot of articles on here regarding the absolute disaster the sanctuary cities were causing in cities across the country, notably in MN.

Politicians in general lack the courage to do what everyone knows we need to do: raise taxes and decrease spending.
I agree with this to a point.

In terms of cuts, the Pentagon’s budget should be first on the chopping block considering it’s so large and convoluted that it can’t even be audited to confirm what’s being spent and where.

Not an economist, but if both sides continue to just throw printed money at problems, instead of actually fix the root causes, we are so fucked as a country.
To his credit Biden’s administration has been pretty aggressive going after monopolies in various sectors of the economy including meat packing and processing. In theory that would create more competition and reduce prices.

Also, extreme climate events have been a root cause of spikes in various commodities. Again, to his credit Biden’s administration has significantly moved the needle on that issue with the passing of the inflation reduction act.

$25K incentive is *horrible*, it is essentially a transfer payment directly to landlords lol. How anyone can call Harris a commie is insane. This is typical performative Dem policy where it looks progressive but is essentially taking care of the corporate class.

I don't know what the revenue loss would be for either, but it seems the loss wouldn't be that great if they stopped taxing tips. Especially when it's a common practice not to report all of your tips on your return.

It would be very difficult to put something in place on groceries prices. The graph above illustrates the slim profit margin which has historically been between 1% - 3% going back at least to the 90's. Probably even earlier.
I think your numbers are inaccurate as to grocery profit margins.

What is project 2025? I've heard of it but don't know what it all entails.

What is good about it?

What has some people concerned about it?

I think your numbers are inaccurate as to grocery profit margins.

Is that strictly for groceries or does that include their other lines like pharmacy, floral, gas, etc.? Does that also include their other acquisitions like Albertsons? My point is just referencing margins on groceries. A quick search shows it's still 1%-3%.

I used to work for Marsh (no longer around) back in the 90's. They might have been bigger than Kroger in Indiana at that time. The analysts that sat next to me would always talk about what a struggle it was to get the margins over 3%.

BTW.......Your chart may also include their software company. Many don't realize that Kroger purchased YOU about ten years ago.

Thank you.

Some good, some bad. Sounds like what a typical think tank would come up with when brainstorming.

I didn't see anything about forcing women into sexual servitude as a desperate measure to repopulate the world like Handmades Tale but I didn't read all 900 pages.

We Should all be able to agree that capitalism isn’t the government telling businesses how much profit they’re allowed to make

That’s bullshit.

The government built most of the national power and transportation infrastructure, developed the underlying info and tech related to establishing and maintaining GPS related tech, developed rocket and satellite technology, the underlying tech for the internet, radar systems for air traffic control and doplar radar…

Yeah, nobody would miss any of that.

This alone is disqualifying. No person or party that cares about the future of this country allows such misappropriation of taxpayer money. As someone who lives in New York and has seen the decay over the last four years, it’s hard to grasp how our elected officials could feel so comfortable using our tax dollars on non-citizens.
