Post Game Observations........

1. This is the kind of game that we have been waiting for all year. Maybe it is a good sign: maybe this team is peaking at the right time. We'll find out in our BCS bowl, I guess.

2. Cierre Wood continues to prove that George Atkinson III is NOT the only home run hitter on this team.

3. The Offensive line played well. The backs had big holes to run through, and Golson had plenty of time to throw.

4. TJ Jones has very quietly, but very definitely, stepped it up this year. With the loss of Michael Floyd, WR was a serious concern of mine coming into the season. As a unit, these guys played very well. No one was a standout stud, like Mike Floyd, but they all played like they belonged on the field.

5. Sheldon Day hasn't done anything spectacular, this year, except look like he already belongs on the field, as a true freshman. He could end up being very special.

6. Quite a few guys have really made progress, through the season; Golson, both Wood and Riddick, TJ Jones, the O Line, Prince Shembo, Keivarae Russell, just to name a few.

7. GO STANFORD!!!

Kelly develops players. I was very skeptical before this year because I didn't see anything to warrant this type of season. Kelly has pulled it off and truly built this program. The jump in performance at so many positions confirms this. I see no reason why this shouldn't continue when we have such quality recruits coming in. His biggest challenge will be to replace coaches when the time comes for them to move on, because winning and the ND brand helps us immensely with recruiting.

As has been the case since the dawn of football time, great teams are built from the inside out. BK has developed this team into something I can't believe. I pegged this year at 10-2 and I'm more then happy to eat crow.

Nothing more to really say except its truly fascinating to watch the growth of the team.

Agree with all your points, kmoose. I was most impressed with the blocking today - from the Bigs, the TE's and the WR's. Golson also looked real good, minus a couple instances of poor decision-making. And how about our D - simply dominating today.

1. Golson played a great game. Did not get happy feet in the pocket. My only complaint is throwing off the back foot. Sometimes thinks he can make every throw.

2. Wood and Riddick were outstanding.

3. Offensive line came to play. WF gave not real opposition up front.

4. Sheldon Day is going to be a star.

5. GA III is a home run hitter but may not be an every down back. Seemed to run very tentative out there looking for the big hole. Hopefully Mahone become the Cierre Wood for him.

To be playing his last regular season game against the team he almost chose. Now hopefully we can close this game out and send Manti off the way he should.

Great game all around. We dominated the trenches on both sides of the ball. Golson had as much time as we wanted all afternoon in the pocket and the O-line was moving people to make lanes for Wood to run through.

I hope the seniors, and the whole team, enjoy this win thoroughly for 24 hours and then start preparing for battle in Los Angeles next weekend. All that stands between them and undefeated is Lane Kiffin and the Condoms.

My observation was that we could beat either Kansas St or Oregon. I am kind of sorry that both lost, cause we would have spanked either one if one of them had survived. But guess what I think we can beat USC & Alabama too. So all is well. I may have to change my log in name not only has someone almost duplicated it. But all the echoes at my house are up and out of bed and on the move.

1. Golson was very good. Kelly let him go out and sling it and show what he can do with his arm.

2. Manti is going to be missed a ton. You can see that he is the heart beat of the defense.

3. I liked the second half run game a little better. Running more the middle these teams are fast and can get outside quicl. Wood was great. The 68 yarder was a perfect way to start the game off.

4. The WRs and Golson are getting very close you could see they were pretty much on the same page.

5. Eifert is going to leave a huge whole to fill. Koyack and Niklas will have there work cut out for them considering the problems with blocking but we have the best coaches in the country to get them ready.

6. Over 400 yards of offense in the first happy made me really happy.
