Notre Dame Stinks. Plain and Simple.

1. Defense can't stop anyone. 3rd down percentage was over 75%.

2. Crist plays scared. I don't care how many yards he has, he is not confident in the pocket.

3. Kelly's play calling is awful. Smells like Weis over and over.

4. Floyd doesn't care. Routes are lazy and sloppy.

5. Defensive line is non-existent. Looks like a 7 on 7 scrimmage.

Crist was so tentative today. He's gotta grab this team by the throat and go forward after today. He's too afraid to make a mistake. He needs to be more of a gunslinger.

I totally agree on these two! Crist is afraid to make the big throw in my opinion, also he is very predictable. He ALWAYS throws it to Rudolph. There are other receivers on this team!

Also for Floyd, I can see why he would be upset about not getting the ball but that is no reason to be LAZY!

MANTI is still a beast!!!

Theo and Floyd did some good with what was offered. I like the fact that Kelly didnt shake Harbaughs hand.

Crist....i think he is in over his head...however we have no option there...

Floyd...could be dominant yet he is so so......

Rudy....I undertand they are keying on him...however he is dropping the ball.

I thought the D was good

HOWEVER - the D Line got OWNED....that put way to much pressure on the LB/DB...also I think Mac got caught out of postiion...

My observations:

1. Our Offensive Line is freaking awful. Like seriously terrible at run blocking and pretty darn bad at pass protection too.

2. Crist is not there yet. Maybe he will get there... but right now he misses way too many throws.

3. Next year Theo Riddick will be awesome.

4. Rudolph and Floyd are both either not on the same page as Crist or something else is wrong because they are both having way too many mistakes.

5. Manti is awesome. Gray and Blanton are pretty impressive too. Our DL and other LBs are terrible at rushing the passer... simply not fast enough or powerful enough to break the pocket. And our safeties still suck in coverage and are average against the run. In a nut shell: our CBs and Manti are keeping our defensive as "bad" instead of "really really REALLY bad."

6. Michael Floyd and Rudolph might both be staying in school another year because their draft stock will be terrible if they keep up these performances.

7. If Rich Rod doesn't go 9-3 or better Michigan is firing him and hiring Harbaugh in a heartbeat. Stanford commits beware.

There is not much you can do when the line stinks, and can't protect the QB so plays develop.

How the hell does it look like CW? The routes/theory are totally different?

Kelly outhinks himself....just like Weis. The play call on 4th down was obvious. He thought it was sneaky. Just sucked.

I agree but the thought process is the same. He outhinks himself or is too far ahead. He needs to keep it simple.

The call did not suck, KR blocked down and not the LB. It's 4th and 1, he lined up behind center...if you can't push for a yard...that says more about the line then the coaches call.

This is a spread team. on 4th and 1, and the QB is under center, everyone and their mother knows we are running the ball.

Floyd, 8 catches for 110 yards. All I remember is what was mentioned above.. Lazy routes and alligator arms.

This team cannot gain -1 yards on 4th and 1. Yes I said minus 1. Have Rudolph run 3 steps and turn, easy pickings!

Rush 3 and still get pressure on Crist.. Oi.

Blanton played well today, can't get better coverage than that.

Turnover battle won == worse results on the scoreboard.

At least we have a kicker.

We were totally beaten today. Both sides, up and down. I hope RichRod wins the rest of the way and stays in AA.

Cierre looks like a deer in the headlights after that promising first game. Need someone fresh back there.

I prefer to go QB sneak or go out of Shotgun. I don't think you can show shotgun 90% of the time and then think under center will work on 4th down

That is a good point. Until mop up time, we only had 6 points. And 3 of those came from that fumbled punt. So in 3 quarters, this offense only musterd 3 POINTS!!!!

You shouldnt have to keep them guessing for 1 yard. A good team can line up with everyone knowing whats going to happen and push the line for those 12 inches.

Line up under center with hughes in the backfield and just pound the ball for the 1 yard.
