To his defense, there were 10 guys in the box and he got drilled (like he did every run in the second half) before the line of scrimmage. When that is happening to you on every play, you could be Adrian Peterson and its just a matter of time before you lose the rock.

What are you talking about? He has been our backup for the entire season. He has ran a lot of plays with the first team. He has even played in real games this season.
This is his fourth year at Notre Dame. Let's quit making excuses for him being terrible. You have to be able to do more than fake a handoff and run to play the position of QB.
We're not arguing how good he can be, like Rees. The argument is if he is even competent at the position. Which I would say, "NO".

This^^^ it looked like he was picked out of the stands and was given one play the read option. He has got to be out in a better position to succeed. Loosing the ball on the pass was inexcusable though

-spectacular defense, especially up front. That is the 2012 defense again
-hope Tommy is back next week. Got feel for Hendrix has his confidence seems low (only a few chances this year), but teams will not respect the pass AT ALL if Tommy can't return for a few games. Agree with BGIF's point in the first post, that those complaining
-Some great first half running by Cam, but it would be nice to half a Robert Hughes type for 3rd/4th and short
-nice seeing some good play by Joe Schmidt

Firstly, I've never been super high on Hendrix. Always thought he was never really a QB. That being said I think he can help us win against some teams.
He hasn't been getting Tommy's reps. He's been getting some situation reps. What we saw today is what he was ready for today.
I agree he should be better. Just saying judging him for a half of football is plainly not smart.

-Defense balled out. I think Tuitt and Co. are finally up to speed and healthy.
-Poor Hendrix. Im assuming Tommy is concussed (hopefully not a shoulder injury that will keep him out.) If Tommy cant go, BK has a decision to make.
-Coaching staff and their second half adjustments were as good as they've been in the BK era.
Now we can breath for a few weeks.

He has had three full seasons of reps and half of this year. He has been the #2 both his freshman year and all of this year. He has played in a lot of actual games for us.
If it isn't clear that he isn't a competent QB by now, then you are kidding yourself.

+1 this. Posted in upset alert and I've been beating this job for awhile. ASU is very legit. They have more quality wins than just about any team in the country right now and an explosive offense. This team is rounding into form... too bad about Tommy... if he's healthy, we might have a shot of running the table.
