LOL I just saw Kelly's press conference and he said that Tommy threw that ball to Fuller "as far as he could."
This argument is between me and Insanity. He refuses to acknowledge how irrational he is, and his inability to distinguish an outside observer's expectations with those of the players and coaches is a joke. Not really sure what's left to say to him regarding this topic.

Not just between me and him. I'm just saying we've already had the discussion (along with Jayhawk, kmoose, and others). Yet he continues to spew his ridiculous viewpoint and scolds us based on Bennett's quote.

I made a fucking comment based upon a player quote where he was obviously disappointed in the records of the last 4 seasons. I didn't scold anyone
The argument lies in the fact that our opinions differ on that topic and you fail to accept that anyone has one other than yours. Its a fucking opinion, not a fact. You can't prove it right or wrong. I have high expectations for this team every year. You being an ass won't change that. As far as the outside observers expectation vs the team, I would assume the fans expectations would be higher than the staffs. The staff would know a hell of a lot more than we do about what the team is capable of and they seemed to be disappointed with a mediocre year.
First, expectations by players and coaches are different than those by fans. When I temper my expectations, I very often have a better Saturday. If we win, I'm just as excited. If we lose, I can keep it in perspective.
Second, objectively, with injuries and our QB situation, Stanford was better. Me "expecting" us to win does nothing to affect the outcome of the game.
Third, I thought that one of the plays that DD broke up was partly due to him not coming back to the ball.
Who told you that all opinions are created equal? The point of a discussion is to weigh the value of contrasting opinions. The fact that you don't understand that yours is inferior is... fill in the blank.
I agree with the first paragraph. But I always enter every season with BCS expectation. I'm disappointed if we don't make it, but I'm not an angry fan. Its football and entertainment, no reason to be angry about it.
As far as Stanford, I actually didn't expect us to win, I hoped for it tho.
DD has always seemed to have a bit of a disconnect with Rees. He always seemed locked in with Golson tho. I believe he can be a top 3 WR in CFB next year easily.
If Moore is asked back (I doubt), he will be depth and contribute occasionally. Grace, Deeb, Councell, Randolph, Moore
I can see your first point. But I don't think it's realistic. And I think you've made it seem like we're lesser fans if we don't share your expectation.
I also still remember the last 10-15 years quite vividly. If 8 wins and a shot at 9 is "mediocre," I'm sooooooo cool with that.
I think we need to turn the page on Moore. I'd rather not have him back for a 5th. I think it's a mystery whether or not the light will go on for him to provide every down reps for this team.
Incidentally, Insanity, I just looked at a current BCS bowl prediction...
At this moment, only 3 of the 10 projected teams were in BCS games last year. Bama, Florida State, and Northern Illinois.

This is my biggest fear with him. Do you opt for a 5th and hope it all comes together, or do you not even take the chance. We haven't had a full 85 for the last few years, have we? If not then maybe it wouldn't be that big of a risk.
I'm just over guys like Wood and Moore. The coaches know best, but my outside viewpoint would be to turn the page. This offseason will no doubt be full of surprises based on the past few years.
We'll be below our scholarship number. Why not bring back a few tweeners for depth? Unless we really think we can get to 85 with this recruiting class.
The fact you consider my opinion inferior to yours is, well, just another opinion.
But I did learn something today. I never knew the point of a discussion was to weigh the value of someones opinion then to come to a decision on who's was inferior. I appreciate the lesson. Its one I definitely won't be teaching my kids.
Please explain to me then the point of a debate. And don't try to teach your kids grammar.
I don't see anyone as a lesser fan in any way. Hell I'm one of the ones who isn't well versed on Terry Hanratty. I understand and see the point in adjusting expectation based upon injuries and Golson leaving and such. I just don't. And the original discussion, at least from my perspective, was in reference to the start of the season, not as the season goes. We had Rees and a few injuries going in. I expected the D to take a small step back with Tuitt and Nix back on the line. We went 12-0 last year. Our injuries during the year and the obvious step back we took on D definitely changed those as the year progressed.
My mediocre reference with 8 wins in strictly in pre season expectations. I assume one would think if they expected 8 wins that with some bad luck 6 is possible. I expected 10 wins (BCS) knowing that with bad luck (injuries and such) 8 was possible.
A discussion doesn't always have to be a debate. Well, at least with me it doesn't. I don't always need to be right.
I wont teach them gramer. But I'll be sure to use your posts as examples when I teach them about bullying.
I'd definitely take Moore back. He plays physical and is always around the ball on special teams. There's no reason he can't develop into a Calabrese-type player in the middle for us next year. He certainly is capable.
