Dominant performance, too bad final score doesn't show it.
Notre dame barely beat Pitt!!!- everyone else

Disagree. The committee will know that it was 42-17 and completely out of reach.
Maybe this?

That's an unfair statistic IMO. There is no way to logically connect 2014's epic defensive collapse (aided by a turnover hungry Golson) to games played in 2015.

What the hell am I supposed to do with the rest of my day? Honey dos? Noon games are the worst?

Unless you consider the loss of Joe Schmidt to be a major contributing factor to that epic defensive collapse. I don't think the stat is really proof of much, other than maybe the folks demanding Schmidt's benching are wrong?

Completely agree. I'm not a fan of Schmidt playing a big role on this D. But I think it's gotten to the point where we are picking apart plays like that where he's close but just doesn't get there. Some of those plays aren't his responsibility. That's interesting, because what stuck out to me on that play was not that the QB outran Schmidt(lots of QBs are faster than LBs), but that the outside rusher did not get upfield and let the QB get outside of him, allowing him to escape the inside pressure by Schmidt.
It's the Tommy Reese defense.
I would understand the love affair with Schmidt if it was only Morgan behind him. But I just don't see how he starts over Grace and Martini.
They clearly believe his leadership is key. But to me, the defense is super-sloppy, gives up a to. Of huge plays, and falls for every trick play...
The first onside kick. But we got the ball so it was all good. Can you tell me what trick play they fell for today?
Kelly said he practiced there thru the week. Sounded like he had natural ability. Kelly said they could play him if necessary and he'd play really well. When did Hunter start getting defensive snaps?

I was being sarcastic. No italics on my phone.Actually, even the announcers remarked about how ND's line did not just turn and run, and played the fake well. They may not have been expecting it, but they sure didn't get suckered by it.
