I never singled you out for how you felt before the game. But if you have a guilty conscience............
Somebody please, make it stop....

BC 2002 and USC 2005 are definitely up there too.
I'd put this in the same boat as the USC 2005 game: great game, good loss, and one play I will have nightmares about for years. Just like the USC 2005 game, we were in a position for that one play to not matter, and a great opponent was forced to do some pretty great things themselves to make it come down to one play. Also, much like the USC game, I am sure that the team who ended up winning this one will be forced to vacate their win sooner or later.
Somebody please, make it stop....

My biggest complaint was the screen call to Prosise at the end. A throw behind the LOS, and you have to burn a timeout if he doesn't get out. I would have rather seen a Folston run up the middle, if you're going to run a play that isn't a throw to the endzone.
I honestly can't think if anything bad about Notre Dame's performance on Saturday. They played their hearts out and left everything on the field They showed everyone in the country that this team is for real and that they definitely deserve if a spot in the playoff if they win out.
There is no point in me talking about the penalty at the end of the game as I'm sure it's been talked about hundreds of times on here.
Everyone, including Florida State fans, knows who the better team was and who should've won that game.
I pray for a rematch in the playoffs. If we do get that rematch, I'm taking the Irish by at least 10 points.
No, moose. He does not have to put you on ignore. You will stop with the condescension, or you'll get a week off.

Although it may have been more successful, there would be zero chance for ND to stop the clock in any manner other than a TO at the end of that play (Folston run up the middle). Had Prosise gotten to the sideline the clock would have stopped. In other words, that screen play had a chance to stop the clock w out burning the TO.
This is turning pretty personal.
I've never had to be this redundant and direct before, but then again, I've never seen a veteran poster gleefully trolling his fellow ND fans before, and then being willfully obtuse about what the problem is.
You have condescendingly patronized everyone in this thread who has disagreed with your odd emotional reaction to the loss. Telling someone to "Put me on ignore if you can't handle the straight talk" is just another form of that. I'm telling you, directly and for the umpteenth time, that what you are doing is a form of trolling, and it won't be tolerated anymore.
So limit your future comments to objective discussion of the game, or get ready for some time off. We can take this to PM if you'd like, but I won't be discussing this any further here.
Where do you get the required from? You have this whole explanation for the elements of an offensive pass interference which, as far as I can tell, has absolutely nothing to do with the official rules.
According to you, the elements of OPI are: 1) WR must initiate contact, 2)WR must move straight toward the defender, 3) WR must raise hands to the DB's jersey, and 4) WR must push backward.
None of that is in the rule book, but you keep on posting it with certainty so please, tell me where you get your definition of OPI from. My reading of the rules is that there is a very deliberate attempt to place a heightened burden on the offensive player for the very purpose of penalizing pick plays.

Because it is logic. (Ok so not required by rule, but required by any logically thinking person to apply the rule for this play - how about that?).
Explain to me how CJ was blocking when all of the three points I made were true? He could not be found to have the intent to block given the way the DB handled him, first.
How about them Browns? Poor ACamp.......... this had to be one of the worst football weekends ever, for him.

I actually called the Jags loss right after the Steelers win... It was so very "Cleveland browns" of the Browns to do that...
but yeah...

This is starting to get circular. I don't think CJ did anything wrong. By the rule, he is allowed to drive the DB back 3 yards. He did so, almost to the inch.
The issue is with Fuller. It's a close call. Certainly, the d-back could have done more to get around him and would have, if Florida St. didn't blow the coverage so bad. However, the rule is clear: the onus is on the offensive player to avoid contact. It's a shitty call and a shitty way to end the game, but it was a technically correct call.
Anyway, I don't want to belabor the point. It was a painful loss, but I like where we're sitting. If this team brings it for the rest of the season, I fully expect us to get another crack at the criminoles.
Man my Vikes were winning almost the whole game and then let Kyle Orton (!!!!!) beat them on a last second TD pass? We need a new o-line or Teddy is going to get destroyed.I actually called the Jags loss right after the Steelers win... It was so very "Cleveland browns" of the Browns to do that...

I don't know what is going on kmoose, but this is downright disrespectful to Whiskeyjack and Acamp.
I see ppl who dont watch much football still in denial lol. If you wanna know why ND lost, its because kelly is pass happy. ND ran 2 more times with RB's then fsu. Let that sink in. how dominate the run game was, how awful theirs was. Only 2 more times. Theres a reason fsu had the ball so much 2nd half. Kelly being Kelly.

You quoted Whiskeyjack and then made a completely irrelevant and off topic post purposefully dissmissing Whiskeyjack's request to have OT and meaningful dialogue. It is quite obvious that the intent of your post was to dismiss the leniency you have been shown by moderators all day and simultaneously be passive aggressive at a minimum. All of the members, mods includeds, deserve more respect than that.
