I make it a practice to not argue with fellow ND fans after a win. There are too many people out there who hate us and our team/school.

Farley tackles like a kicker.

Given my time on the board and number of posts, is this enough supporting logic to substantiate my opinion that farley is awful?

As I already pointed out your high horse is your believe that because he is a freshmen and new (new being relative as he has been around since 2009 and has 900+ posts) he should be treated differently then you because you have earned the right to speak your opinion and he hasn't. That is fucking ridiculous.

What's fucking ridiculous is your reading comprehension

This is why we can't have nice things. Bitching and bickering even after a win. Fuck.

*I've been around a while. This is my opinion and I'm entitled to share it w/o explaining*

Serious question, when did we start being allowed to swear again?

I'm in on this too. Need to park the egos and enjoy the win, and the purpose of the thread.

335? Lol not even close. I need two to three paragraphs comparing and contrasting kicker vs safety tackling techniques.

I like how you highlight only part of your post, why don't you go back and read the first part about you having earned your right. No one earns a right on a message board, it is a place anyone can post on. Also the idea that anyone should post better because you don't like how they post is just as crazy. Do you have a "Post Like A Champion" sign up by your computer?

Edit: Also by saying that you have earned it and you treating him condescendingly, you are implying that you can post your opinions without being questioned but he can't.

I forgot........... you're the one with reading comprehension problems. I like how you point out my words, and draw your own conclusion about what I meant by them, without any context.

I suggested that he should try using some logic to support his opinions. He told me that I should do the same (not just throw out opinions, but use logic to support them). My reference to having "earned the right to express my opinion" was in direct response to him insinuating that I was being hypocritical. And I stand by that. I, and a lot of others on here (don't forget that I didn't claim this holy right that you seem to think all for myself), have earned the right to not have to explain everything we say in great detail. That's not to say that everyone else has to. It's just saying that most people have a (perhaps very small) amount of respect for our opinions. And one of the reasons is that we don't insult players without offering up some kind of explanation for it. If you want to sit around in a circle jerk with a bunch of people who insult the players because of their own disappointment, then go ahead. But I, for one, don't think that we should have to host said circle jerk here.

Oh and whoever made the comment about Kmoose choosing who got the game ball w/o explaining, not cool. I PM'd him a few weeks ago and requested he add it to his post game breakdown as I enjoy his breakdown and felt it would add to it.

LOL cue the vulgarity. Just because we can. I told yall about me telling my son that use of vulgarity shows a lack of intelligence. He just looked at me like I was a fucking idiot.

So again you don't have to (we are only talking about you and him, no one else) but he should if he wants to be taken seriously? Really?

Also he said that Farley was god awful and if someone watched the game then it was pretty damn easy to see what he was talking about. Look back through the game day thread and read all the comments about Farley playing poorly. Also I wouldn't really call that insulting one of our players, criticizing on field performance is fine (he played like shit, he can't talk, he can't throw the ball 20 yards, etc). Do you really think that criticizing on field performance is insulting our players?

I totally disagree. Everyone is entitled to post here and do so in whatever manner fits within our rules. That being said, if you think that being a long time-regular poster doesn't give you more leeway, then I wonder if you understand this board.

This board is more than a "open forum", it's a community… a community that builds on it's culture and relationships within itself. We all invest a lot of our time interacting with each other and have done so for many years. I'll be damned if I let some dude that just popped in the scene or posts once every six months give you an unearned hard time, nor any other long time poster (not even LA). This board is more than that. We spend way too much time together arguing, debating, joking, defiling and laughing with each other to simply give that same credence to just any "joe blow" that hasn't contributed a damn thing to the board yet.

Wooly I would agree if the person had 5 posts or something similar but 900+ posts and being a member since 2009 is not a noob. Sorry.

Whoa, whoa. I agreed until I reached this bolded part. Some of us (me) have been around a while and still haven't contributed a damn thing to this board yet.

I'm in the long time, no contribution camp too! :)

As far as the game... if you are running for over 4 yards a carry, don't pass it on 1st! Stick with the run. We are so much better in 2nd and anything but 10. When we do play action we score TDs. Use the run to set up the pass!

Also, why do we always go for over 10 yards on 3rd. Tommy hits a lot of them, but I would love to see a short five yard TE passing route.

Am I crazy?!

JJ was a beast tonight! I'll miss TJ Jones. What a stud he is.

900 posts in 4 years is kind of "drive by". Kuenja posts that in a month.

I'm kidding of course, but what i'm saying is that if someone doesn't contribute valuable commentary (who knows what that number is), then they shouldn't automatically get the same rights as somebody that has hung out here daily for years.

I thought both lines played inspired ball. The o-line manhandled BYU's d all day. They gave Tommy all day to throw and opened nice holes for the rbs to exploit consistently. The d-line was even better (imo). Those guys refused to use the well documented injury situation for an excuse. In fact they used the fact that they came into the game with so many guys out as motivation. It was like cornering an injured animal...they contained a dangerous running qb very well and other than one long run (which was the product of a breakdown behind them) controlled BYU's running game quite nicely after surrendering the lone td.

Oh, so now I'm "drive by." Talk about being isolated and marginalized ;)....Of course, this conflicts with the "think more, post less" lesson I thought was the main lesson for novices.

I disagree.

As long a poster is objective, cordial, funny, etc, I couldn't care less if they've posted since 2004 or started last week.

Coming from the guy that thinks its ok to tweet recruits as long as they think what they are posting is positive.
