It's hard to believe Scout's going out of business... you can read everyone of their stories for free by googling the first sentence of a story and going in through the cache.

I'm not really. They don't really have any assets. They don't have any proprietary systems. They don't really have any significant advertising platforms. No intellectual property. They are pretty much a third rate website for recruiting. 247 has already stolen their market share and could take any writer of note. Their entire value is one huge airball.

Anyone listen to the BGI recruiting podcast? It's so bad, but sometimes I listen to it on the way to work.

If you haven't, download the October 6th one and give it a shot. I believe it's 32 minutes long. Have you ever heard worse radio in your life? It's honestly funny how bad it is.

the thing about BGI for me is seeing Driskell get into twitter beefs with absolute morons every week. The guy makes himself look like a joke getting involved with that crap.

And I think Driskel knows football, but he's turned me off to his analysis/tweets all together with the same stuff you're talking about.

And I think Driskel knows football, but he's turned me off to his analysis/tweets all together with the same stuff you're talking about.

BGI is generally the last podcast i will listen to every week but i've come around to appreciating the humor Dave McKinney brings to their recruiting podcast. It's short and snappy usually 20 mins or so.

I can't listen to Lou anymore and Driskell is just too repetitive. i'll fire up that podcast you mentioned on my commute home though

Is that the guy with the raspy voice? The guy with the raspy voice is really bad IMO. The other guy who sounds more normal, isn't too bad. He's guilty by association but that's about it.

Lol we're on opposite sides then. I thought Dave tried way too hard in this particular podcast. Post your thoughts after you listen to it.

Another thing they do that bugs me, is use far too dramatic of words to explain situations.

Like, he'll be like "player X is definitely going to visit ND, at some point probably".

I don't think he's a bad guy or an idiot, I just don't like him on radio. Maybe with a different side kick it'd come out better.

lol yeah he is never accurate with recruit's school names or anything of that nature. The thing with of those crooting podcasts for folks like us is that most of the info on them isn't anything new. It's background noise for me really when i am driving. McKinney's mistakes must drive the other guy crazy cos he sounds like the Rain Man.
