I don't profess to fully understand all the intricacies of crypto, stable coin, etc., but I do have a feeling with Donnie and family's heavy investment and involvement in crypto and processing capabilities, the ballooning debt, the push to a CBDC standard, and the increasing adoption of crypto and stable coin as reserves by our largest financial institutions, that the admin has something in mind eventually that somehow will switch our debt to being stable coin backed which will massively devalue our currency and leave U.S. consumers holding the proverbial debt bag, all while leaving Donnie and his family and his uber-rich cronies to make a shit load ton of $ in the process. But again, I'm not an expert and don't profess to fully understand how such events could go down.

Feeling good about Maine.

I feel ok about Maine regardless. Collins sits on a throne built from the skulls of vanquished Maine democrats.

The day she dies, republicans around the country should have a week of mourning. She's great.

Platner is awful. Strikes me as an anti-social black sheep who is a bit of a bad egg. Some people I know "in political circles" or whatever have opined that worse things will probably be coming out.

Paxton is bad. Tons of issues there. I think he'll beat Talarico. Texas should be ashamed they couldn't find nominate serious candidates for Senate. Texas is red but not so red that either party lacks incentives to put their best foot forward.

The most centrist vanilla agreeable moderate in the country vs the guy with concentration camp guard tattoo in his pile of garbage.

I think I’m right though. They are calling code red and forcing him out. Dems only bash Dems when it helps another Dem.

Word definitely went out. Time to attack.

I hope he stays in.

60 Minutes had a piece on him Sunday and reported that he was still receiving support and doing well in the polls. I have no idea when they actually made that segment, so things may be changing. You think Bernie would feel the same if these reports were about a Repub?

Can't wait to see Pratt get bumped to third by mail in ballots. I'd put the o/u at 60% for people in that video that are on payroll/grift.

A total mismanagement of the city, no water to fight the wildfires, massive homeless problem and she still secured the first spot. lol

Would love to sit down with LA voters and see why they voted the way they voted in the primary. Its their town, so it's up to them. Ive never been there so a lot of it would go over my head anyway, but it seems like there is a consensus that this lady sucks and doesn't really do her job?

No idea if these numbers are all legit, but Newsweek did do a piece in 2024 how India counted all 640 million of their ballots in a day, starting with mail ins (Election ended on a Saturday, votes were transported to facilities and then all counted on Tuesday) Our process is not efficient, and it's suspect that we can't do it properly.

California's 37 days is complete ineptitude (not hard to believe given so much else involving CA gov.) or intentional voter fraud. Take your pick.

Yeah, because they close their 1 voting station per county at 3 PM...
Yes, Florida doesn’t have that many people. Indiana doesn’t have cities. Smart man. Meanwhile, California needs days and weeks? Absolutely no reason for this. Zero credibility to their election process.

So NDW, you having no issue with Cali's time to count votes?

Hey, when you're the 4th largest economy in the world and the largest state in The Union, it takes time... You can't rush a good thing!

Besides, shouldn't we be giving Citizens more time to vote since there's no National holiday to vote like there is in most countries.

Lastly, you need to get it right so that CA has the right folks in power who will not give away too much $$ to the poor, uneducated and parasitic red states - Amirite?!?!

Sure, stop sending money to the red states and they'll stop sending food and energy to places like New York. They only produce 15% of the energy they use, they rely on other states for the rest. You guys like to leave that part out, turns out farmland doesn't bring in big tax dollars but it does keep people fed.

Maybe places like NYC need to find new sources of food and energy. Lord knows, farmers are struggling and many are being forced to liquidate which has rapidly increased under Trump due to his policies and no real structural reform for farmers' plight.

Chapter 12 family farm bankruptcies surged by 46% in 2025, reaching a total of 315 filings compared to 216 filings in 2024. The upward trajectory has accelerated even further, with a notable six-year high of 62 bankruptcies filed in the single month of April.

The 315 Chapter 12 filings only paint a partial picture of the financial damage. Chapter 12 is strictly designed for family farms with regular income who generate the majority of their revenue from farming. Because many families have turned to off-farm jobs to survive, they no longer qualify for Chapter 12 restructuring.

As a result, rather than filing for bankruptcy, thousands of operations are opting for forced liquidations or total consolidation. The total number of U.S. farms shrank by 15,000 operations over the course of the single calendar year.
