Nahhhh MyPillow stock, or Andy Ngo's milkshake venture.Put it all in crypto! What could go wrong?
Drop offs should be able to be scanned the same day and you don’t allow late mailings. Everyone knows we’ll ahead of time when ballots are due so you move up the mailing date so those ballots are received in time.Election day ballot drop offs and late mail in voting.
Shapiro is spot on here. Most of the country doesn't think Biden, or the Democrat controlled Congress, for that matter, is doing a good job. But that doesn't mean you can prop up any crazy person with a "R" next to their name and still win.

I'd rather the GOP try and get rid of the mass mail-in voting. It's not 2020. More people are getting vaccinated and we know more about COVID than we did in 2020. If you're healthy enough to go to the bank, post office, grocery store or restaurant then you're healthy enough to stand in line for a few minutes with a mask on and vote at your polling place.College campuses went 90% or better for Dems. How long before GOP starts trying to make voting on campuses harder like they do in Texas already.
You misunderstood what I meant about receiving their money. What I was referring to was being able to start drawing from it as a monthly check like today, not being able to pull out all of their contributions. Those that manage their contributions while they’re still working have an opportunity to make it grow allowing for a larger monthly check once they are eligible to receive their benefits. This would collapse the system almost instantly. The people that rely most on SS will be the most aggressive on pulling out the max allowable as soon as they can. Those that don't need the money will take out their amounts and move it into their private investments. The pooled security of SS will be negated when everything gets sucked out.
Kind of like expanding the ability of people to get loans with payday loans and other high interest loan types. Can be marketed as empowering people to take their investments into their own hands, but many lack the ability to make sound choices.
We’re an impatient society.Drop offs and mail-ins have to go through signature verification.
On another note, I'm kind of fascinated by the lack of patience (not directed at you per se, just in general) with vote counting.
Wasserman already called AZ for Kelly but I'm surprised that more outlets haven't as well. I suspect Lake will squeak it out, although part of me wants her to lose as that would be another bad look for Trumpty Dumpty. Hobbs isn't a good candidate and any sane generic Republican would likely beat her in 2026.Not sure why they haven’t declared AZ. It’s been obvious for a day who’s won.

Like I said, you can poke holes in it as that’s just what I came up with off the top of my head.
Probably don’t want to ruin the govorner race which is much closerNot sure why they haven’t declared AZ. It’s been obvious for a day who’s won.
You understand mail in has been a thing g prior to covid yea? Several states have that as their main option.I'd rather the GOP try and get rid of the mass mail-in voting. It's not 2020. If you're 20 and conservative you have no heart. If you're 40 and liberal you have no brain. Some of those kids will come to grips with reality, some won't.College campuses went 90% or better for Dems. Imagine thinking the party lead by Trump is the one with brains lolol. If you're 20 and conservative you have no heart. If you're 40 and liberal you have no brain. Some of those kids will come to grips with reality, some won't.
You mean the collective group that thinks somehow one of the best capitalist endeavors (post secondary education) is pushing a woke agenda isn't a good arbiter of "brains"? I am truly shocked lol.Imagine thinking the party lead by Trump is the one with brains lolol.
90% of young voters being progressive should tell you something. As a demographic they have less worldly experience, they're easily manipulated. Reproductive rights are often near the top of their priorities because, well...they're young, dumb and full of...Imagine thinking the party lead by Trump is the one with brains lolol.
That statistic was strictly for college campuses, not in general.90% of young voters being progressive should tell you something. They're useful sheep. Just look at how many bought into the Biden student loan cancellation hoax, unaware that it was likely to get struck down as unconstitutional. It also makes sense that the older people get they tend to trend toward conservatism as a whole. As you age you gain perspective and wisdom. Well, some people do anyway.
It absolutely did. Young people voted overwhelmingly for Reagan. During my college years - the late 70s to mid 80's - college aged kids were a lot more conservative politically. Here's something interesting from the NY Times written a few weeks before the '84 presidential election:I dont see a real path to getting college kids to vote for a conservative party en masse or even particularly competitively. Did that happen during the Reagan revolution?
Ronald Reagan, at the age of 73 the oldest President, is more popular with young voters than with any other age group, according to a number of polls. Many disagree with some of his policies, but he is coming across to young people as a firm yet kindly grandfather figure, a leader who inspires confidence in an uncertain world.
61-to-30 Over Mondale
According to combined figures from the two most recent New York Times/ CBS News Polls, taken before the Presidential debate on Oct. 7, voters from the ages of 18 to 24 supported Mr. Reagan by 61 percent to 30 percent over his Democratic challenger, Walter F. Mondale. For the rest of the electorate the margin was narrower, 53 to 32. Polls indicated some shift in public opinion after the Presidential and Vice- Presidential debates, but there was no indication of a marked change in the youngest age groups.
Sure, but all the praise for this election has been going towards GenZ which is the even younger crowd, not so much the Millennials. It's the late 90s birth kids till about 2010, so from a voting block the 18-25ish crowd. If the numbers are really that skewed towards the colleges specifically it probably just reinforces that these kids have been programmed from a young age to believe what they're told and not think for themselves. Lots of water carriers have been pushing this message or praising Gen Z this week. That statistic was strictly for college campuses, not in general.
In general millennial voters lean left, but that's consistent with the number of registered dems vs republicans in the country as a whole. If anything it's lower. Of registered voters 31% are democrats vs 25% republican.

It was a terrible ruling and will be promptly overturned. I already filled out my application.I dont see a real path to getting college kids to vote for a conservative party en masse or even particularly competitively. Did that happen during the Reagan revolution?
Anyway, Texas judge shut down the absurd student loan bribe. Hope his decision holds up. The whole idea was kinda insulting on its face. Biden Admin's only argument I can recall initially was that no plaintiff would have standing...but SCOTUS has played fast and loose with the concept of standing previously.
