On the dem side attacking Manchin makes him more popular in WV. This works for everybody. Drive up donations from progressives, keep Manchin viable, etc.

In terms of Sinema, Arizona is realigning to be more liberal and you don't need a senator like her to keep the seat. She better look out on her left flank.

The difference between Sinema and Murkowski is ranked choice voting really neuters a partisan attack because they'll still lose once the dem's voters go to Murkowski as their #2.

WV has drifted further and further Red. I wouldn't be shocked if Manchin called it good after this term. The GOP needs to do whatever necessary to flush Manchin, Tester, and Brown in the 24' cycle. I have to think the blue rebound in 18' kept them alive. Tester and Brown being in lockstep with filibuster reform and the voter fraud bill should help paint them too far-left.

I actually kind of like Sinema. I haven't lost hope for AZ and they could still challenge Kelly's seat next cycle. Rational moderates in swing states should be safe, IMO.

Agree with Murkowski.

How screwed up are the people of Minnesota that they keep electing this woman? This isn't the first time she's made idiotic statements like this.

https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics...ts-israel-comparison-serfaty-dnt-lead-vpx.cnn

A group of Jewish House Democrats are condemning controversial comments made on Twitter by Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN). CNN's Sunlen Serfaty reports the Minnesota senator sparked outrage when she appeared to equate the US and Israel with the Taliban and Hamas, the Palestinian militant group designated as a terrorist organization by the US.

Welp...maybe the “libtards” in California are on to something.

I tip my hat to California for all their brilliance/ innovative spirit in technology (big and small companies) as well as incredible restaurants. Here's what that article failed to mention:

1) That $54 billion in debt hasn't disappeared. The state also offering "free" healthcare to all illegal immigrants hasn't really kicked in yet. That number will swell as years go on.

2) The unfunded liabilities number isn't even included in the $54 billion

3) California's policies continue to crush the middle class, which is why people continue to leave for Arizona, Texas, and other states. That is not debatable.

4) The authors pumped up the median household income, but didn't note the cost of living in California. People in CA need to earn six figures not to thrive, but just to get by.

I have a list of places I will never consider living. California, Texas and Florida are all on it, among many other states in this fine Republic of ours.

S1/HR1 the so-called "Voting Rights Act" is the hot topic in DC today as it should officially be DOA today. I saw Sinema's office drawing a crowd to push her towards ending the filibuster and supporting the bill. It's good that Democrats are going to show us their true intent to grab power and deprive states of fair elections. This would take the almost theft we saw in IA-02 and make it a trend going forward.

Watching the left hilariously evolve on Voter ID and the faux hysteria that ruined the All-Star Game has been gold.

I think it has to due to the huge failure of the left's messaging campaign to deter anyone other than woke corporations to move on the issue.

What's your top 3 states you would move to?

I have North Carolina 1, Georgia 2, Florida 3.

Unless we have another civil war. Then I'm headed straight to Texas with all my cash and guns.

I'm retiring in about two years. The two at the top are TN and GA. The others are NC and MS.

I don't think the Black community could've picked a much worse person to hold up as a hero to idolize. Floyd had long been a violent, drug abusing thug who held a gun to a pregnant woman while robbing her home, and was in and out of prison for violent and drug related offenses most of his adult life. What happened to him doesn't somehow make him noble or admirable. If he'd been running into a burning building to rescue someone, then yes, we'd look past his faults and focus on his brave deed, but he was instead involved yet again in criminal behavior while high and resisting arrest, and got wrongfully killed in the process. Nothing admirable or noble or good about that. Sure as hell not someone we should be building statues of and naming streets and parks for.

Jason Whitlock calls for 'racist' and 'offensive' George Floyd statues to be torn down: 'Harmful to black people'

Sports journalist Jason Whitlock labeled recently erected statues paying tribute to George Floyd as “racist” and called for the “offensive” statues to be “torn down immediately.”

“The deification of George Floyd harms black people and America,” Whitlock wrote in a Tuesday column. “George Floyd was a victim — of his drug addiction, self-destructive behavior, and Derek Chauvin’s misconduct.”

Whitlock argued that the narrative surrounding Floyd’s death while in police custody last summer in Minneapolis is part of a “Marxist overhaul” of American culture.

“Floyd is not Jesus. He’s not Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, or Medgar Evers, black men who died tragically in service of promoting racial fairness,” Whitlock added. “Floyd isn’t Crispus Attucks, the first man killed in America’s Revolutionary War. Floyd isn’t Emmett Till, an innocent victim of anti-black bigotry.”

The veteran journalist then pointed to Floyd’s history of drug use and called for the statues of Floyd to be torn down.

“I’m shocked the sculptor didn’t put a crack pipe in one hand and a 40-ounce of beer in the other,” Whitlock wrote, referring to Floyd’s many years of drug addiction. “The statues of Floyd need to be torn down immediately. They’re racist. They’re designed to symbolize that America turns black men into lazy, criminal drug addicts.”

Whitlock also pointed a finger at several prominent Democrats, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and former President Barack Obama, accusing them of using race to divide the country.

“The entire satanic cabal of cultural elites, both white and black, are using George Floyd and other forms of racial division to overthrow a flawed system of governance that has outperformed any other system ever invented,” Whitlock wrote.

Last week, a 700-pound statue of Floyd was unveiled in Newark, New Jersey, in preparation for the celebration of the Juneteenth holiday.

“George Floyd represents a lot more than himself at this juncture in history,” Newark Mayor Ras Baraka said during the unveiling ceremony. “Hopefully, when people walk by it and they see it … hopefully, it inspires them to become active in the struggles that are happening right here in Newark and right here in New Jersey.”

Another statue to Floyd was erected in Brooklyn, New York, and the unveiling was attended by Floyd’s brother.

"My brother was the sacrifice, so I need y’all to continue to pay attention and keep my big brother’s name ringing in the ears of everyone," Terrence Floyd said at the unveiling.

A career criminal and drug addict, who was high and committing a crime when the police showed up (after being called). In other words, a leftist hero.

Culture wars are created on purpose to divide the country and further distract from the political and billionaire ruling class' continued attack on the low/middle class in order to grow their power and wealth. This thread seems like a giant waste of time if the discussion is to talk about hot button social issues while finger wagging and pointing.

The Texas Democrats who fled Texas to avoid seeing an election integrity bill pass and went on to do a ridiculous attention seeking parade in DC with Democrats had 3 posivite COVID cases confirmed so far. No word if the super spreader was contained to those three. Left wing media would have pounced like crazy if they were Republicans, but here we are.

Someone promoting a 1 in 10,000 chance of vaccinated getting Covid places a near statistical impossibility on 5 vaccinated Dems contracting it. My money is on most of those DBs lying about being vaccinated in the first place.

For the record I think that 1 in 10,000 number is bogus - more and more seems these vaccines are more like therapeutics as so much conversation has turned to "not getting it as bad" from being truly immune. Any way you slice it though - hilarious to see them super spreading.

We don't have proof they are vaccinated and we do know through their actions that they are willing to lie. It does seem odd that five of them would become positive. Kamala making a 'routine' visit to Walter Reed yesterday got the rumor pool going. But one thing is sure:
Texas Democrats spreading COVID all over Washington DC and almost killing the Vice President is the worst thing to happen to this country since the civil war.

Yep.

I'm as far from anti-vax as it gets. I dont like getting sick and I don't mind needles, and if it helps stop me from getting very sick that's enough for me.

The Texas Dems just gave themselves the worst optics of basically all state politicians time, even sans covid positives. This is icing on the cake.
