That's what happens after years of Cheney and Halliburton dominance. You forgot to mention the Western "Family Feud" raging on, our former President and Vice-President under investigation for war crimes, but otherwise you are about dead on!

So any person who would be our commander in chief right now should tell west point grads to battle climate change? I'm sure that's what they signed up for and exactly what they wanted to hear on graduation day.

And drop the "war crimes" garbage. They went to war with Congressional approval. Not even a discussion...but otherwise solid response!

Who cares if Iraq as we knew it for for the last 70 years or so crumbles? Those borders were pretty random lines in the sand drawn by the British anyway. I think saying it is splintering into three smaller autonomous states would be a much more accurate description. For a bit of perspective Poland has come and gone on a number of occasions.

Also, puffing up Iran as some big bad bully is misleading. They know the US could wipe them off the face of the earth without breaking a sweat. Given that fact and the shoot first ask questions later policies initiated by GW I would say we are clearly much more of a threat to them then they are to us.

Note to interpret as one wishes: NASA is being forced to rebuild launch facilities further from coastal waters, and to abandon older sites in the Cape Canaveral complex.

Their reason?: ocean level rising. "Your" [whoever] reason is of course up to your own desired way of looking at the world. Any possible connection to military operational security? Hmmmm.....

Pssst . . . Cheney, "Scooter" Libby, Paul Wolfowitz, Donald Rumsfeld and a host of others lied. They didn't even move their lips but they had Colin Powell and that bimbo reporter make most of the early noise. But they lied just the same. And the host of lies served to convince congress that we needed to go to war. Lies to congress, ipso facto congress approves war effort.

This has been verified by of all people the British who have released (leaked) numerous original dispatches from the Bush/Blair era. There are two common themes : Bush was an idiot, and is advisors were dangerous; and there was a conspiracy to "cook" information to ameliorate their agenda to our allies. This subterfuge that was cooked up and the underlying violent destructive aggression (unjustified for the reasons given) constitute war crimes, in its most basic fundamental form. It does not constitute war crimes for any of the forces engage in the war, just the lying leadership. The British have revealed the conspiratorial nature of all of this. A) Everyone knew the charges of uranium enrichment by Iraq were bogus. B) They all worked to formulate believable lies. Much more of this is accurately being reported elsewhere in the world, (everywhere else.)

1) We owe the Iraqis some sort of support given what's happened in the past 10 years.

2) Comparing Iraq and Poland is insane.

3) You can underestimate Iran all you want. They've got a radical Muslim with nukes who hates us. I'm not.

Way too much bullshit for me to shovel out. And there's never any point in arguing with "conspiracy guy."

1) Several other countries' intelligence services concurred with CIA and Iraq's WMD's. You and I will never know who knew what or reported what.

2) Again, I'll bet you my next year's salary that Bush and Cheney will never have any "war crimes" brought on them. But you keep holding your breath on that one pal lol

3) Your entire rant had absolutely nothing to do with my post:

We have a shit ton of big friggin problems, our president is playing more golf than the PGA, and he told our west point grads to battle climate change. That is NOT a real threat, certainly not one for our armed forces, and DEFINITELY not why they signed up.

Fitzgerald the Special Prosecutor knew who "leaked" Valerie Plame's name to the press (Richard Ametage) two weeks into the investigation; but surprise surprise a Special Prosecutor continued the investigation years after anyway spending taxpayer money in order to destroy an individual (Scooter Libby) who was not involved nor had any information pertaining to the act that Fitzgerald was investigating. Now, assuming you know this, what exactly did Scooter Libby do that you are including him in your post?

Honestly, I'm surprised none of the recent posts are going after the IRS news.

IRS destroying emails, not telling the House about it until 6months after, and Democrats crying about it, and Americans just wanting the truth.

And I thought the changes taking place at NASA were due to budget cuts and the elimination of programs, which is why we are now required to hitch a ride from the Russians to get to the space station. Never knew it was the result of global warming. The information disseminated on this site is invaluable.

So, MJ, this is little or no concern to you in light of current conditions?

"Florida is a huge plateau, much of it barely above sea level. The highest point in the state is believed to be a hilltop in the panhandle, 345 ft (105 m) above sea level, near the city of Lakewood, in Walton County. No point in the state is more than 70 mi (113 km) from saltwater."

An entire Red State could be lost!!!

I'll welcome family and friends, regardless of their voting proclivity and scientific denial to bunk in with me. The Mississippi, Minnesota, Crow and St. Croix Rivers may be flooding at the moment, but they should reside soon.

Should the sea level rise as feared, Florida may well be reduced to a narrow strip along the Turnpike. No Key West, no Daytona, no Tampa/St. Pete, no St. Augustine or Jacksonville. No DisneyWorld.

Well, maybe no University of Miami, University of Florida, University of South Florida, University of Central Florida or Florida State University might be appealing to some Irish fans, I'm not among them.

I'll not argue the science. There are many more here that are more able than I.

"Err" on the side of caution.

Get our collective asses in gear. Economic adjustments will occur. Money will be made. Some honestly earned, some not. Hey, what the hell, that's (barely) regulated capitalism at its finest!

Really want to go there?

President Obama’s Vacation Days

Who vacationed more, Bush or Obama? | PolitiFact

How President Obama's vacation time stacks up - Hawaii News Now - KGMB and KHNL

Just the first four results on the google machine.

I realize that Bush stopped golfing in 2003 because the optics weren't good. But that doesn't mean he stopped taking time off.

I'm not even going to address the climate denialism.

Don't bother with Polish Leppy. He's so consumed with hate for Obama that he sees nothing past it. He'll deny It, but if you read through his posts you'll see that even if Obama cured cancer, Leppy would accuse him of doing something wrong. I'm pretty sure he's one of those that still wants to see Obama's birth certificate.

Welp my fellow Marylanders looks like we will have another Democratic governor. Anthony Brown will be the next governor.
I will be surprised if 23% of the people even got out to vote.

These numbers are flat out sad. The democratic party for governor had a total of 459994 votes. The republican party had a total of 207238. The difference is 252,756 votes. There is NO way in this world that the will be able to make that up. I know some Independent voters will make up some but i highly doubt that much.

The first article I clicked on wrote days "on vacation." That's very subjective and you're smart enough to know that. And my point had NOTHING to do with vacation. It's leadership. Bush stopped playing golf before Iraq because it sent the wrong message. We still have thousands in Afghanistan, Iraq is crumbling, our southern border is being invaded, and our president still swings away. Sad.

I'm no brilliant scientist and I don't feel strongly one way or the other about climate change. I know for a FACT that our west point grads didn't sign up to battle climate change, but that's the shit they had to hear from our president at graduation.

Ready any time you are, Bobby. By the way have you taken in any illegal immigrants from the border? And no...much as you might believe, foreign exchange students here on a student visa are NOT illegal immigrants. Hahahahaha

I don't know Obama, therefore I do not hate the man. I hate his policies, his attitude, and the direction in which he's taking this country. I hate fundamental transformation of the greatest nation known to man.

Obama couldn't successfully run a hot dog stand let alone cure cancer.

Exactly what I said. He kept taking time off (i.e., taking way more vacation than Obama, see every link and every source availalbe). That decision was never about substance, it was about optics.

You also noted that climate change "is NOT a threat" (emphasis in original). I interpreted that as you thinking that climate change is not a threat.

Always confused by the people who complain about a POTUS taking vacation. These are usually the same people that don't agree with anything he does in office. Their solution is less vacation and more work?

It's also been noted that much of Bush's "time off" was at Camp David. Little different than Hawaii. Not getting in a pissing match over presidential time off, but spending a weekend on the golf course with all this shit going on? Weak. Clinton wouldn't have done it and Bush wouldn't have either.

Climate change can be debated all day. It is NOT a national security threat and NOT what our west point grads signed up for. They deserved better on their graduation day.

If you want to fundamentally transform the country, then yes he is a vast improvement.

Lowest labor workforce participation rate since WWII
Moody's downgraded US credit score
$6 trillion more in debt

I could go on and on...

Lowest labor workforce participation rate since WWII
Not coincidentally, it was after the biggest economic crash since WWII.

Moody's downgraded US credit score
Because the republican congress played political games with the debt ceiling.

$6 trillion more in debt
After government revenue and the GDP were tanking because of the financial crisis.

I could go on and on...
And it would all be presented through your lens, which is quite different than what I believe is the reality.

No it is not great. It sucks. Upon that we agree.

But when you talk about how Obama is ruining America after the double train wreck of the Bush administration and the House of Representatives (specifically, and specifically since 2002), and throw in the Robert's Supreme Court, that is as uninformed, and chauvinistically politically biased as I have ever seen!

But this is just my opinion, as yours is that Obama is anything but Little Moe.
