I think it was likely a draw but it was a much better debate for Obama than last time so that's a win for him. I think Obama showed more passion and that will help him. I think Romney took his aggressiveness a bit too far and came off sounding like an arrogant and rude jerk.

I thought draw last time because I'm hyper-partisan. I think this was a total debacle for Obama.

Do you mean debacle for Romney? I thought Obama won, which would mean the event was a debacle for Romney.

"No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for."

Yes, I believe Obama won on that exchange. There is so much criticism to levy about this topic. It's legit criticism. The administration seems to have messed up here.

However, Romney just whiffed.

Agree...couple different ways he could have taken the discussion...not sure WTF he was doing...

If I had to judge the debate w/o having seen it...I'd come here, and look at who is in here talkin'

Mr. President must have had a good night...

I'll point out...I was here after the first debate. I was dead wrong (according to the polls...not, in my opinion, according the facts), but I was here.

In my opinion the President had a good night "compared" to the first debate. Overall I'd say it was pretty close, the Dems say Obama won, the Repubs say Romney won, and us in the middle arent so confident either guy won.

Based on everything I saw the President blasted Romney. Romney didn't really do himself any favors by doing things like looking smug and cockey right before he was shown as being wrong on that whole "terrorism" quote.

No he wasn't.

Yes, he was. Read the transcript. The president is totally vulnerable on the topic. Romney totally missed on it. He argued for the specific point. It was wrong.

On pretty much everything else, Obama won. That what the polls show. It's not quite a flip from last time, but Obama won this round.

But, I forgot, the polls are biased...my bad.

Personally, I think tone wise Obama won. But I found myself agreeing with more of what Romney said, and I feel he "won" over the content of the debate. (Of course you could see it other ways depending on your views).

Whats more important? Im not really sure; I feel content should be more important, but tone influences more votes.

I will say Romney did stick to his strong Republican base (e.g. immigration and gun rights). We will see how it turns out.

By content, Obama won the first debate by a landslide.

No he wasn't.

Yes he was. The President called the attack an "act of terror". That was that. Certain talking heads on the right decided to take the semantics after that statement and concoct an "issue". Romney latched on to this train of thought and it made him look really bad. Too bad for him.

That was a strong performance by Obama. The questions did not help Romney at all. The women's equality issue was a really bad moment for Romney, as was the question about how he differs from Bush. I did not understand his answer on gun control, something about 2 parents? Romney finished much stronger and actually had a good answer on immigration. Romney was doing well on Libya but when Obama stood up and said that that is not what his presidency is about was a really strong moment for Obama. Romney actually did well overall but Obama called out his BS and having Candy fact check him in the middle of the debate was a bad moment for Romney.

No he wasn't.

Too much Hannity for you, friend. Only republicans could say a guy didn't say something, be shown he did say that something, then turn around and claim that isn't what he meant.

I think the Lybia argument is dumb on its face: the President can't stop any single crazy person from doing a crazy thing. When we talk about terrorism, we need to look at the big picture. Any one of us could go kill a bunch of people right now if we were so inclined. But, unfortunately, people are dumb enough for this to be a political issue. Romney had to score on that point, and he ended up looking like a fool. I think its poetic justice, since it is absurd to blame the President for what happened in the first place.

Being undecided has got to be gut wrenching on this one..Hope you can see something that makes it easier.

...I am really at ease with the whole thing...I'm voting Romney and my state is in the bag Romney...hay is in the barn for me

As such I can poke fun at both my guy and the other guy...

First, and most important, Mr. Gore appears to have been correct...Mr. Obama debated closer to sea level this evening, and it showed

I thought from question 1, Romney seemed off...fealt like he never answered it...generally, I thought he came off with less substantive answers as opposed to debate 1. The only topic where I thought he did damage was the economy where he hung the president's record on him...and really what can the president do? ...economy sucks...Mr. President did not deliver on many of his '08 promises related to the economy...staples (no not from office max) are more expensive...people make less...too many people unemployed...not good.

OK...and that rationale Mr. Obama used to cover the delta in gas prices since he took office...I have no dea what he was trying to say...but lemme tell you how it come off...

...$1.60 gas was the result of that bastard Bush's policies, and because Mr. Obama fixed things its $4.00, and we can't go back to that $1.60 sh!t...

If I'm Romney I struggle with the right response...do I walk over and put him over my knee and spank his bare *** in front of the entire world....or just fall on the floor in hysterical laughter. The moderator should have awarded Mr. Obama a Billy Madison...video clip please!

I thought Ronomey's worst moment was where he FAILED to hang the president w/ regard to Libya, and in a strange twist got some on himself...its like he had a pie all ready to jam in Mr. Obama's face, and he slipped and fell, and faced himself with it...you have to pay money to Barnum and Bailey to see something like that...

Yea...all-in-all partisans will call it a tie, I think the president stopped ole MO for the time being...the final debate seems important....so long as Mr. Obama can avoid more issues like Benghazi.

Gas prices fell dramatically after the financial collapse. Also, where in the country was gas $1.60 4 years ago?
