All this time I thought it was the VP who was next in line.

IMO, it would improve her election odds if she were technically the incumbent having replaced Biden. I am a bit flummoxed as to why this was not done to try and salvage the campaign. My only two thoughts are a) their confidence in the cheat is good enough to cover or b) she is a sacrificial lamb they don't really want to win

Pretty easy read.

Solar energy generated enough for 13M homes in 2022? Do you understand what the word negligible means?

Negligible is exactly the right word. The amount we can and do store is negligible compared to the amount generated. We all understand how batteries work. It's just that most of us also understand that the use of batteries on a large scale, such as a fully solar powered house, let alone a factory or city, is extremely inefficient, economically unfeasible, and environmentally disastrous. So yeah, negligible. The amount stored compared to generated is miniscule and negligible. It's not currently doable in any realistic, cost effective, safe, or efficient way to power a home or factory or town with just solar and store enough energy generated during sunny times to run during non-generating times using current battery technology.

I can ramble on this topic for hours. Its my home turf. Waiting for Toronto to tell me more about what I don't understand.

Batteries will be relevant one day, but not today. The Luddington Pump Station is the only good battery I know of.

Weeks is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. He sold those shares 3 months before and that investigation wasn't a secret

I agree though that people in congress shouldn't be allowed to buy and sell stocks.

Things like this don't generally happen all of a sudden. Given it was the DOJ, there's a distinct possibility that Pelosi was aware of the investigation long before it was announced.

Yes, Stocks and similar financial assets should go into a trust with no ability to purchase any while they are in office.

I'm fine with Nancy trading as long she she posts her trades publicly within an hour of making them, so I can get rich too.

This is more than taking a few trips or padding the expense account. NY Governor considering removing Adams as mayor. Article sounds like she's giving him a couple of days to step down before swinging the axe.

The most serious charge is wire fraud, which comes with a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. That charge stems from allegations that Adams stole from New York City’s matching funds program.

He's cooked. Says he's cooperating, but the Feds have plenty of evidence to the contrary.

“To be o[n the] safe side Please Delete all messages you send me,” the staffer wrote Adams, according to the indictment.

“Always do,” Adams replied, the indictment says.

Playing devil's advocate, many countries use cloud seeding to some success. The US military ran a secret op during the Vietnam war to extend the length and effectiveness of a monsoon to disrupt the Vietnamese army, and this was later banned. It's assumed Greene is talking about the hurricane though, and to date there hasn't been success that's documented that man can effectively enhance or reduce hurricanes. They've made attempts at stifling or halting a hurricane before it forms, like using lasers to target lightning, dumping chemicals into the sea water to cool it so the heat doesn't rise, etc, but nothing that's shown to be conclusively successful. Crazy talk, unless she knows something we don't.

Agreed. I don't believe they can "control" the weather, but I do believe they can attempt to manipulate the weather. How successful those ventures are, I have no clue.

There are some crazy conspiracy theories out there right now though. that they manipulated the weather in some way related to this hurricane. Has something to do with lithium concentrations in some mountain. Throw in the word "Blackrock" and you got something that draws clicks.

I've read where they have ignited bombs without success inside hurricanes hoping it would interrupt the rotation.

DeSantis said she never called, and hasn't in the 3 1/2 years she's been VP. He has worked well with both Trump and Biden in the past and neither has tried to politicize a storm like Kamala has. Biden also went against what Kamala said and gave kudos to DeSantis, said he's been fully cooperative and doing a great job, Biden gave him his personal number. Just posting the video clips below, disregard the puff piece comments.

When our river was flooding in high school we were allowed to skip school as much as we wanted if we were sandbagging
My coach used to chew me out if I got caught sandbagging during football practice.

[EDIT] I didn't know this, but apparently Sand Bagging can also involve a facial and sand in a girl's face:

I volunteered to sandbag once and it was the most sore I’ve ever been in my life the next day.
