So, I'm guessing you voted "no" today? I hope you did twice.

As a matter of fact I did. I voted "no" on both the proposed amendments to the MN constitution. One would require photo ID to vote, the other would confine "marriage" to being solely between one man and one woman with no restriction on just how many times that could occur for any given man or any given woman. I disagree with both, especially when unnecessarily enshrined in the constitution.

A statute in MN law that "protects marriage" already exists. Piling on is frowned upon in football.

And they have to do a wife swap every other week. Decisions they can't agree on obviously settled by rock-paper-scissors.

Sounds like a win-win situation!! Is there any way that we could have D vs R tag team fights?

You guys hearing about the faulty voting machines in PA? Apparently they found a couple where the touch screen is broken and reading any touch as "top left"... aka Mitt Romney.

I don't understand why they have touch screens. Touch screens are way too faulty to be trusted. Just go with buttons on the side of the screen like in Indiana.

Pennsylvania Voting Machine Switches Vote From Barack Obama To Mitt Romney (VIDEO)

Hope it was just the one person who noticed it and reported it.

The ting is... you'd have to be a total idiot to cast your ballot with the wrong candidate selected... and I imagine if you try touching a bit lower it would work. There are always lemons when it comes to machines... whether it's an iPod or a car... you can't count on anything working 100%. Hell, my droid has issues all the time with its touch screen lol.

So... I'm not buying any conspiracy theories... at the same time, have to be disappointed that they'd roll out faulty machines... and why on earth can't we just use simple paper ballots where you fill in the scantron and have it read by the machine? Seems like that'd be simpler and leave a paper trail for a worst case scenario.

I pretty much agree with all of that. I filled in bubbles today.

My exact thoughts.

I find it puzzling that with all the technology today, we can't create a software system or a machine that is efficient and works.

That's because California will always be Democrat just as Texas will always be Republican. They're talking about states that are a possible win by either candidate.

How quickly we forget! Remember references to "The Solid South?" Following the Civil War the South was pretty much exclusively Democratic since Lincoln was a Republican.

The Dixiecrats started coming out of their closets when civil rights and voting rights came to the forefront. LBJ was a Texan. George Wallace was a Democrat. California served up Ronald Reagan and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

When I grew up in Florida declaring as a Republican pretty much ensured defeat. The only voting bloc they could count on were the Cuban emigres since a Democrat, John Kennedy, botched The Bay of Pigs "invasion." Look at the Sunshine State now.

It's a damn circle game. Left becomes right, right becomes left under certain circumstances.

The political Great Mandala breathes. Cue up The Wizard of Oz and Dark Side of the Moon. Grab a copy of C.G. Jung's Memories, Dreams and Reflections. Break out the single malt or the modern equivalent of Acapulco Gold and enjoy the ride.

The only constant is change.

Lol... true. But California voted for Reagan because Carter was a bum and The Terminator was elected because he ran for office in a state that loves its famous people. :) I'm 28 and I don't think I'll see Texas vote Democrat or California vote Republican in my lifetime; and I'm planning on living to be 100.

Every time Candy Crowley talks, it sounds like she's just finishing up a mini powder sugar donette. Someone get that girl a glass of water to loosen up the rubble for pete sakes.

I had mine at 274 - 264 in favor of Romney.
