Nothing at launch is screaming at me to get it.


Not to mention I still have unopened copies of Last of Us and GTA5 to play this winter.

Was on the phone for about two hours today trying to find one. Finally got the last one on a Shopko that just opened up today. Sold my xbox and a ton of games. Got about 220 bucks off that. So PS4 didn't cost me that much. Got 2k, Madden and B4.

Of course, there's not rule that says you have to have a PlayStation 4 on its first day. Some retailers we spoke with said they expect more shipments to come in next week - and Sony is making sure that there will be regular shipments throughout the year.

In September, Sony Computer Entertainment America CEO Jack Tretton, appearing on Fox Business, said the company had a plan to help it meet consumer demand throughout the holiday season.

"We want to make sure people can buy a PS4 on November 15 and through the holidays, so we're holding back some inventory to make sure people will be able to buy one," he said. "The good news is that production yields have been phenomenal. We're going to work very hard to make sure that every consumer that wants one gets one."

Suck it, guy at Wal-Mart.

Found a neat little trick just a little bit ago.
PSN does not allow changes to your PSN ID unfortunately,so unless you do this trick you'll be stuck with your old ID(presuming you dont want it anymore.)

Go to your profile and hit edit info. Change your full name to whatever you would like you ID to be, and then set that as what is viewable by others.

Just a neat little trick I found if anyone is interested.

I don't think so, but you do need to download the firmware update to play blu-rays and dvd's.

Pretty sure it's just the app you're downloading.

Got mine last night... so far I'm loving it:

-Ghosts looks really good, plays like a standard COD though. The first ten minutes of Ghosts were just wow in terms of visuals and gameplay.
-FIFA is the same exact game as last year but with better graphics, the crowd is MUCH better. I was more into Ghosts, which surprised me, I totally thought FIFA would be the "wow game" (Gosh, Celtic’s unis are horrible this year… I was really hoping for a classic kit for them.. no.)
-The setup is so easy. I love PS compared to Xbox setup. 15 minutes, my PS4 is setup, connected to my PSN profile and everything between my PS3 and Vita are interchangeable, system ready to go.
-Vita remote play is better than I thought it would be, pretty seamless... Still wish cross play would take a higher priority though. Cross Play>>> Remote Play.
-The download speed for the PS4 is crazy fast... I downloaded Outlast last night and the entire game took maybe 30 minutes. I downloaded Uncharted 3 on Vita and PS3 (Vita took hours, PS3 took all night)
-PSN is amazing... Outlast and Uncharted were both free... FREE... the amount of free entertainment/games was pretty large... Dracula, Justified, Walking Dead all had seasons or episodes for free. Multiple games for free. Good stuff.
-So far I’m very pleased, cannot wait for MLB The Show to drop.

Outlast is amazing. The problem with Ghosts is that you actually bought it. Should have gone with BF4 it's incredible.

I recognize that BF games are better for online and have 'more to them' (guns and unlocks and such)... but they lose me with a complete lack of offline multi player/split screen... EA will never get my business for shooters until they add a split screen and some bots... ala, Black Ops or Ghosts. FPS games are the only ones my wife will play with me so split screen for FPS games is a complete must. Just me. Pretty big COD guy just for that reason alone.

Also, picked up Metal Gear Collection on Vita today at lunch... that is a hard game to find and I finally found it... I'll enjoy playing through Sons of Liberty again in HD.

Looking forward to Outlast... seems legitimately scray, though, no weapons, like EVER?!?

I understand what you mean about the bots and split screen. I am ADDICTED to sniping in BF4. You have to adjust your zero meter and have to use the correct shot placement to account for bullet drop and target movement. Its so satisfying to hit someone on the move from distance.

Outlast is scary as hell. I have loved survival horror since I was young. The originals: Silent Hill, Dino Crisis, Resident Evil, etc. You are correct, no weapons. You have to run and hide and try to stay alive. The character is just a normal investigate reporter who bit off more than he could chew. It really is a fun concept that is challenging. I can't wait for Thief though, it comes out on 2/25.

Diablo III (Good game to play with my wife and oldest, both would like it I think) and MLB The Show for Vita and PS4...

that's what i am waiting for...

Diablo comes out sometime in March for PS4 and MLB The Show still doesn't have a firm release date, which is somewhat troubling this late in the game.
