Thats a fair argument but I still dont see it outweighing a blowout loss to Michigan while still lacking any wins over high quality opponents. I think it is more about the money ND brings to a bowl versus Minnesota.

How far do they jump if they hold on and not only win, but win by 14 plus.

While Koon acted like he had inside info, I thought Dad4aa actually had a line to the program........unless I'm mis-remembering.

As far as Fleck and RTB, it's not just a tag line. For him it ties into his personal life and losing a child.

From Fleck years ago:
“As you hold your son as he passes away, your whole life changes. What you believe in, how you’ve believed in it, what you’ve done to that point, where you’re going to go and how you’re going to live your life all changes. But Row the Boat is really my second son’s life as I continue to live his life for him. It’s his life.

His clock management is masterful. I know that's pretty far down the totem pole, but it decides games. They've absolutely dominated the TOP in this game.

Top 5 I would think.

I'd say at least top 4. PSU and one of the SEC teams from tonights matchup would no longer be undefeated. The real question to me, considering Clemson has shown us nothing and played nobody, do they come in above Clemson.

Good football coach but am I the only one who thinks he is a huge douche who is all
about attention on him rather than the team.

Pretty much everything I‘ve seen said by co workers and players of his says otherwise.

I actually live in Kzoo, but I assumed nationally it was known. Reading thru this thread, that's not the case.

This.

My only concern with him ever coming to ND is that I've always been told he likes his women.

Daddaa overcompensates for his CFB knowledge because apparently pretending to know more than others about CFB is really really important to him.
Wow....this coming from the guy that supposedly has inside information when you have no connects to the program. Hey pot this is kettle.
How heart broken would you be if I told you everything.
Nothing you say or do would have any effect on my heart...sorry to burst your bubble

Wherever PJ lands next is going to be very lucky to have him. Hope it's not SC. Biggest win for the Gophers in 58 years.

Minnesota's DBs have played amazing, seems like they get their heads around everytime, and play the ball, you know, stuff you're taught in Jr High that ND guys simply refuse to do.

Officials are trash this year, that was a delay of game. Gifted them the TD, that's huge.

Agree...Minnesota stopped them on their last drive so calling that penalty would have made it 3rd and longer and another possible stop. Hate it when refs dictate the outcome of a game. Minnesota needs to run out the clock or score.

Yeah, that is turning out to be major. It's ridiculous man, they shouldn't ever decide the outcome of a game.

What is this "row the boat", some kind of catch phrase?

It has nothing on shake and bake.

That's a bigger win than BK has had since when? Oklahoma 2012?

Kelly has never had a win this big. 2012 OU was #8 at the time and ended up with 3 losses. Not to mention Fleck is working with a talent disparity that Kelly was not.

Not to be argumentative, but ND was in OK. Big difference in my view. People can argue about how good PSU really is this year (I’m not a believer personally after watching all but two of their games), but OK was very good. Schedule matters a bunch in CFB, so ending with 3 losses doesn’t tell me much, particularly when you couple that with the incomplete season this season. My view is this was an impressive win for many reasons and so was OK. Both of those statements can be true at the same time in nearly equal form for different reasons.

The 2013 Mich St turned out to be the best and will be better than this win by Minnesota when PSU loses @ Iowa and/or OSU. BK's win over Sparty cost them a date with FSU in the National Championship game.

Hell of a game by MN's Tanner Morgan. 18/20 - 300+ - 3 TD's. And I still love me some Rashod Bateman.

I agree. Was nd ranked higher than Sparty at the time game was played? I know they weren’t ranked as high as they finished.

Unless this 2019 team can end up 10-2, it may be remembered as a similarly “what if?” Type team that the 2013 team was. That team lost some weird games but had talent and some impressive wins. Weird.

I agree that going into Norman w/ a convincing win is more impressive. I think both that 2012 OU team & this year’s PSU are overrated but time will tell w/ the Nittany Lions. Stoops was known to rarely lose at home yet dropped a home loss to KSU before losing to ND in primetime. Then they got their pants pulled down in the bowl game vs TAMU.

I agree with all of this. Factoring in the talent disparity, home field, and the fact that ND was much more dominant I'd say they are about equal.

I loved that OU win so much I got busted for underage drinking that night and still had a smile on my face the whole time

Penn St. is ALWAYS so friggin' overrated. They are a joke of a team.

Great win for Minnesota though being the first to f them on the 3 loss train that is always run on them before season's end.
