I want to see what Justice Hayes does behind Dee Hart. The kid is a STUD!

i think its better for justice to stay on the bench for a couple years and hope our players forget about him otherwise hes gonna end up with a sore Va-jay-jay after the pounding we give him.....

I have found that the vast majority of decisions that most people make are based on fear, and the perceived minimization of harm. These fears differ between persons. Lynch was the biggest studbolt we had, but he was afraid of failing in school. It doesn't make any difference how big you are, it is how you far you think the fall is. The younger the person more often the greater the ignorance and therefore fear. This young man was/is afraid of something. It is likely not "playing time" or something like that. It's almost certainly not "coaching stability". Something more fundamental is scaring him. Maybe even the same thing as Lynch. He's young, young, young...and we know that he is making a mistake. But we should let him go.

Hayes is being recruited at a slot WR according to the UM fans.

Then why has he consistently commented that he really likes the RB coach? And that he doesn't care what happens to Rich Rod because of the RB coach? He might end up at receiver or DB but he sure as hell isn't being told that now.

Does anyone agree that we are ignoring the offensive line a bit? 2 OL recruits out of 18 commits?

With the tragic death of Matt James last year, we only had 2 OL commits last year too.

If anything, this would be a great year to bring in Offensive linemen because they could redshirt next year with our whole offensive line likely returning.

Nichols, Lombard are both nasty and from last year

Hegarty (LT/RT) & Hanratty (Road grader OG) in this class

Springmann & Carrico give us some depth and flexibility if they move

Nick Martin is currently on the radar

Oh ok. Obviously, the coaches know what they're doing. I would think that the offensive line is a position worth stock piling.

Terry-Who do you think is the most important recruit left on the board for us to get?

I would not say we have been ignoring the OL, we have just missed on guys. Prestwood decommitted, Whitmire committed to UVA... We are still in the mix for Niklas and there are several other guys we have offers out to. BTW Springmann could potentially play OL... not likely but a possibilty.

I'm not Terry, but I say most important in my mind is keeping Hegarty, Tuitt, Atkinson, we gotta keep them on board in my mind.

Hit it on the head. I'd lump Councell and Rabasa on there as well. Freak athletes

Add Koyack and Daniels---this class is still loaded despite Prestwood/Lynch. And "horrors of horrors to praise a kicker" [this is total sarcasm] but I see Brindza winning multiple games for us over his years. Also by field-position kicking the waddin' out of kick-offs.

Niklas could also be an option on the OL, if we do get him. Great feet, he's about 6'7, and a lot of room to bulk.

If he develops correctly I have a feeling this kid will become a great offensive lineman. I'm thinking a first round pick in the NFL draft in several years. Has a tremendous frame, good athletic ability. I'm sure he just needs to work on technique and he will be great.

I think the keys for us to keep at this point are Tuitt, Hagarty, Atkinsons (if we lose one we probably lose both) and Hardy (our top DB recruit).

Keys for us to close out (if possible) are: French (freak athlete with defensive and offensive potential), Ishaq (we need a big time pass rusher in this class) and Huggins (we need a running back in this class given that we are losing AA and Hughes).

Like I've said before, I could give a **** about Prestwood or Hayes or even Burton to a degree. Offensive line is very hard to project at from HS to College and I am never sold on somebody unless they are truly an elite recruit (e.g. Hegarty). OL ranked between #20 and #50 are all really about the same. Hayes, simply put, was not going to be a contributor for at least a couple years... if ever. I really want Carlisle. Also, Cam McDaniel, to a large degree, has equal or better potential than Hayes. There is no loss there. Burton has upside but I think we have enough depth and prospects that we won't really end up hurting from that loss.

Lynch sucked to lose because we don't really haven't had dominant players or a lot of depth on the DL. I still think our class is going to round out very well though and the decommits, especially from Hayes, may end up being a blessing in disguise depending on who signs late.

Guys,
OL is well taken care of in this class. Hegarty and Hanratty are both solid OL commits. Plus, Springman will become a OT. Finally, Carrico is definitely an OL recruit. I have watched his play at DE and OL, he is NOT a DE at the elite level. Actually, he is not a DE at all. He played there by necessity in high school. He looks good as an OL player.

McDaniels is an athlete that would get looks at RB, Carlisle is being recruited for the Slot, Huggins is the 1 true RB we are recruiting

Niklas is only being recruited as an OT by USC. ND and Stanford are recruiting him as a DE. As far as depth at OL, we are pretty solid as long as we hold on to what we already have in this class.

I think westill have a few more really crutial recruits in this class aside from keeping our current verbals.

Ishaq Williams- Provides great athleticism in a place where it is needed. Guy is certainly a RKG.

Christian French- Freak athlete that can play multiple positions on either side of the ball.

Savon Huggins- An absolute game changer. This kid has it all. Speed, power, and that "it" factor that everyone talks about.

Troy Niklas- Fills the void that Lynch left at a position of need. Very athletic and very intelligent.
