I haven’t seen the race just the photo finish. Is he the one whose foot is out front but body appears to be behind others?

Both Lyles and Richardson get out of the blocks in last place but have the top speed and talent to get gold and silver. Need to get them better block coaches.

Some of theses photos are a bit misleading though because to my knowledge it is when the torso crosses the line.

I’ve watched every clip, slowed it down. Still couldn’t tell you who won. Even Kerley was right there
Yeah, I’ve yet to see an official photo where they freeze it at the line. The ones I’ve seen do show Lyle’s just ahead. Live, I thought he finished 2nd.

Live, I actually thought he finished first but it was damn close.

Once ribbon twirling and table tennis is done china should stop getting golds and the US take over.

Crazy exciting race. The 200 is actually Lyles best event per the announcer, so he has a good shot at another gold. Men's 4 X 100 should be the favorite.

Women's 4 X 100 medley kicked ass and took names with a WR.

Where the F is Russia? lol

Pretty crazy. That was a wild race.

Also, with all the technology and super advanced suits; doesn't it seem weird they still have to safety pin the nametags on like me trying to run a 5k.

Start of wrestling... 68kg woman's first round has a battle of 2023 world champs between US and Turkey. Of course our world champ is better then theirs as she wins 10-2.

Fun race. Makes Bolt time of 9.58 seem even more impressive.

Safety pins are a perfect technology. Cheap, easy, and in all my years of running and watching running, I’ve never seen them fail.

She's really good, but Simone kind of lost that event. That's probably the worst floor routine I've seen from her this Olympic season, including team qualifying rounds.
Biles starts from such an advantage I wondered happened to "only" get silver. Tough crowd when silver is shocking lol.

Are you genuinely asking for the technical reason? Vault and floor are her two best events. It "is" shocking for her to get silver instead of gold.

I haven't seen it, I'm assuming she slipped or something. I just didn't want to come across as being disappointed she only got silver.

She stepped out of bounds with both feet, two different times. 0.3 deduction x 2. Simone otherwise would've had a 14.733

Andrade 14.166
Biles 14.133

Edit: So yeah, this is one of her best events. Even after stepping OOB with both feet twice, she still almost won gold. So it's a massive disappointment to walk away with silver. (Simone also fell off the beam today in finals.). When you're the GOAT in your respective sport, the expectation is to win. She and Team USA crushed it. I'm pumped for them. But yeah, it's a bummer she didn't place first in floor, when it's clearly one of her best events.

Yes she's really old comparatively. She's 27.

I wonder if she'll try to make the team for 2028 too since it's in LA.
