The problem here is that Rees cannot seem to complete a pass that goes further than ten yards in the air. All of these passes are really short, and it's dramatically effecting the play calling.
While we are seeing the same distance of throws as we saw with Dayne, those were largely check downs. With Tommy, he's only thrown one long ball and it was really bad.
He's showing some huge positives right now, the ability to throw on the run, accuracy on short throws, and great poise for an 18 year old kid. Hopefully this is a confidence and knowing the playbook thing and he improves. But today, it's not helping us with third and long situations.
Defense needs to step up here, don't want to have to see the offense playing from behind in the fourth quarter.
