Mate he recruited a lot of talented QBs. Whether they worked out or not is another topic. Kiel, Wimbush & Jurkovec were all Top 100 recruits. Kiel was the #1 on most recruiting sites.

Clausen left because he put out an outstanding junior season. Made sense that his coach would be leaving, as well as his #1 receiver going to the NFL with him.
