All I know is that I hate the pass to the TE in the flat. The TE (usually Mack) always gets chopped down immediately and it's a one yard gain max.

yup, and Kmet gets the over the top and down field... i'd guess that Mack is faster than Kmet and could get more yac

I know it has been asked, but does anyone have a replay that can be shared? I've been checking the usual spots all week to no avail.

Anyone have a link to a full game replay? Haven’t seen anything on YouTube.

This is how you potentially ruin a career.

A UC defender took what might be considered a blindside cut that ended his season... not illegal by definition of the rules I guess, but still don't like it

I have a much bigger issue with the Oliver one than the Young one. Oliver is a high-low block and is illegal in most high school football for the exact reason it injured him. (I know because it got called when someone did it to me in high school, and I hadn't heard about it before. I'm actually surprised its not illegal in college, because it seems like a no brainer injury preventative penalty.) The Young one I don't know what you can do to change it... Make it illegal to dive at someone's legs? Well its already illegal to dive at someone's helmet. Seems like any given play could have its outcome changed by a ref with an ichy trigger finger.

Fact is the NCAA should be taking a big look at Navys play. Every single game someone gets hurt playing them. When it quacks like a duck, walks like a duck, odds are it is a duck. This dirty play isnt correct. I have no idea why ND continues to schedule these guys if they are going to consistently play this way. At some point, BK needs to step up to protect his players.

The Oliver play is illegal in college, as it’s a standard chop block. It went uncalled here, and often goes uncalled against Navy when defenses crowd the interior line.

The Young play is interesting because prior to this season, they changed the rule to make cut blocks illegal if they aren’t face-to-face and within 5 yards of the LOS. This wasn’t face-to-face, but was close to the LOS.

I’d like to see a rule where blocks below the waist are illegal unless the defender is lined up directly across from you at the LOS, but that’s also because I watch Navy play my teams every year.

Is Navy the only one that does this? Or do the other acadamies/Gerogia Tech do it as well?
