I don't put too much stock in it being gone for good...maybe they take a break for a few years and then a new AD or Head Coach who has history there brings it back.

Cowherd is a blind squirrel who every now and again gets lucky finding a nut; but not here

He is completely wrong; ND has not needed USC for a long time

We are playing other teams that take their place as far as SOS is concerned

It’s such a soulless way to talk about it all. “ND needs us.” It’s called a rivalry, dipshit. It’s not about need, it’s about tradition and the bonds of decades of mutual respect, animosity, and passion.

I don’t really hate USC and won’t lose sleep if we don’t play them again, but I recognize it’s a deep part of both programs lore.

Cowherd is a chuckle fuck.

His opinion is irrelevant.

USC is soft. Lincoln Riley is soft.

There's been a lot of dumb reasons for rivalries to end, but one of the HC being a soft beta is as dumb as it gets.

He just means if USC backs out ND may need to join a conference which ND does not want to do hence the need.

Because of USC? Im sure there are PLENTY of teams that would love to play ND that are bigger pulls than USC.

They are such bitches.

I hope they don't score a point.

I love how they wave “conference games” around as if 90% of their conference isn’t total dogshit.
“You don’t get it, we have to play conference games before we play ND!”
Which is dumb because A) last I checked all of our opponents also belong to conferences
B) a loss to ND doesn’t matter to their precious conference standings
C) those games include shit like Minnesota, Rutgers, Purdue, UCLA, Iowa, etc.

Not loving the injury or weather. For some reasons I feel like bad weather affects us more.

Local meteorologists are calling for over an inch of rain over the span of Saturday night

Sooooo it's supposed to be 30 MPH winds and storming? Is this weirdly bad for us? Or is it good for us?

I don't think ND's o line has been great lately. Many of CJs passes have been down field. I worry about our ability to rum without Craig if the conditions to pass are too bad. I worry about us stopping the USC running attack without Rubio. Also, many of Lemon's receptions are at the line of scrimmage or behind, which they could still do in the rain.

Much of USCs offense has been a short passing game, which the weather wouldn't affect much. We have been a more down field passing team. Which 30 mph winds could greatly affect. Not loving it.

I think bad weather almost always benefits the worse team because its a huge equalizer.

Not looking forward to a windy rainy game. I'd take snow though anytime

Normally would agree with this, however it’s USC and they don’t like spooky weather.

Most of the board is going to say it's worse for ND whether it was sunny or rainy. Just the way it is.

Give me the team with the better running backs and better defense (I said what I said).

Def. controlled chaos with pressure on Maiava while containing him and creating turnovers!! This typically wins games in any weather conditions.
