ASU winning out sets of the possibility of an 8 o'clock ABC game. Another big stage vs a nationally ranked team would help.

There are 4 teams in this playoff.

If FSU is our only loss we'll be among those four...watch...

It certainly helps that we hung and actually led the defending champs for much of the game, but some of you guys are way too confidant that we're going to still be in the playoff if we win out. We'll have conference champions to contend with, quite possibly 2 SEC teams, and even before this game people were talking crap that our schedule hasn't held up (Like it's our fault Michigan sucked and Stanford has 2 losses halfway through the year). The only way we could guarantee ourselves a spot is if we ran the table. Now...at least 1 SEC team will definitely be in, FSU is probably in cause they aren't going to lose the rest of their games, Oregon only has to beat Stanford at this point and win their conference championship, MSU and possibly tOSU will be ahead of us in the next poll so if one of those teams win out then they'll get a spot. There are other scenarios too, so we really have to hope for some more teams to get upset....maybe a miracle like FSU losing to BC like we did in '93

Though minor that does annoy me as well. That guy was clearly out of bounds. Like you said it doesn't matter but it's annoying that they're crediting them an INT they don't deserve. Also reading the recap of the game from ESPN you'd never know that the OPI play ever happened. There is one passing reference to it.
