They are probably going to be a better team next year. But I think we will too.

They went from 2 wins to 8 last season, 2nd to only Clemson in their division. They had some blowout losses, but they're still a pretty young team and will definitely benefit from the experience they've gained the last two seasons. They only had 2 Seniors start on offense, and 3 Seniors on defense, so they're going to be returning a lot of starters. Some of them may still have eligibility too. They ended on a high note by beating Mississippi State.

Yeah I didn't like seeing Louisville on the schedule in 2020. A great resurgence last year on top of a winning coaching staff from App State. Can't overlook this game one bit.

Still a game we should win. We've become pretty dang good at winning games we should win.

Think about it this way, if ND loses to Clemson and a ranked Louisville team comes into town and is ran out of the stadium like NC State back in 2017, that's gonna look great for ND.

We’ve been ranked since Sep 30th, 2017. 38 straight games, about to be 39.

SP+ predicts that the Irish win by 17.8 points (40-23), with an 85% chance of at least outright victory.

I'm pretty convinced of a couple things with the defense. The issue is conditioning and reps or lack thereof. And, we need some small tweak to personnel. With that said, I do feel like it could take one more clean week of practice to get this worked out.

Definitely conditioning, then lack of reps IMO. That's why I think they will rock UoL this week.

So something that ISD has said along with my eye test has been making me think...Foskey needs to start getting way more reps, and perhaps even supplant Daelin, if Hayes doesn't start putting up production.

I think that, based on the scarcity of his reps last week, it is safe to say Foskey was affected by the virus. I would expect him to be much more involved this week. Hayes looks slow.

Agreed. I put that in my FSU post game comments. Bauer for White, Foskey for Daelin, and Kiser for Buck. Let's start there, with at the very minimum 50/50 time shares, (which Bauer already kind of has) and see what it looks like.

I'll bet my house Foskey will not start over Hayes this season unless Hayes is injured.

I'd like to see at least a 2017 situation where Hayes was the starter all year, but Okwara was getting significant snaps.

I can't see the Cardinal logo without thinking about tailgating at Louisville last year. Some Cardinal fans walked through SomeIrishBloke's tailgate. arndtjc, condomSUCK, and IrishLion were there too, we ran into Irish#1 later. Louisville fans started talking some light trash when a rowdy Ball St. fan at the tailgate stepped up and said something like, "My Cardinal could kick your Cardinal's ass!" He then proceeded to put them in their place, I forget what else was said, but the Louisville group walked away in shame. Destroyed by a MAC school. Classic.

With the wind in South Bend, I'm pretty happy to have Williams and Tyree performing so well in the backfield. Should be a great day for the TE's as well.

Cheers and Go Irish!!
