I can't count how many times this year we've been in 4 down territory and it's been 3rd and short, and instead of running twice to almost guarantee the 1st down, we chuck it instead.

What is with the 3rd down playcalling? It seems like we throw it down the field an inordinate amount of times on 3rd and short. I get maybe doing that once a year if you think the defense is cheating up, but why the hell would you keep doing it? It is a low percentage play.

And why kick from 55 and pass on a 44 yarder? Confusing coaching. (Not that I don't like going for it; we should have gone for it the first time, also.)
