In a world where we are looking at not having usc on the schedule anymore I want one California team to stay in yearly. Unfortunately it has to be Stanford the California team of the Atlantic coast.

I'm calling total horseshit on this. Irish don't play off time. Fuck ABC (ESPN). Swarbrick would have never allowed this. He'd have found a way.

I don't care for that either. But this just feels different to me. Irish shouldn't be reduced to this. I realize it's Stanford and the argument for recruiting (don't agree), but ND should NEVER be pushed to non prime time. Whatever the zone. Keep usc, dump Stanford if that's the case

I’m sorry, maybe it’s because I’m a West Coaster but I don’t see how this is some sort of conspiracy to hold us from the playoffs? The only way this game affects the playoffs is negatively for us either through losing or needing like some big comeback to win. The committee is going to wake up and check the score and if we covered the spread they’ll move on with their day.

I thought this was going to be a noon time game!? I have to go to a three stooges film festival at that time!!! When it’s over we better have won by 20+. Can anyone make me feel secure about this?

They beat us in Marcus first year so there is that !

SC? Rival. Michigan? Rival. That’s it. That’s the list. BC and MSU or Purdue may qualify to a significantly lesser extent. Those are OUR rivals. We can’t control how many other dozens of programs view ND as a rival…but it isn’t mutual.

Michigan does not consider ND a rival. Historic competition like an Alabama or USC even, sure, but their rivals are OSU and MSU. MSU at one point would have definitely considered ND a rival but since ND doesn’t play them anymore I really don’t know, but MSU is definitely more of a historic rival of NDs than Michigan.

Did their backup QB play the entire game? I flipped over to watch a little when Pitt went back up on GT by 3 TDs but Cal looked to be self destructing so I turned it back when Nard Dog almost screwed the pooch w/ the fake punt call.

If you poll 100 Michigan fans 100 would call ND a rival. Most think of it moreso than MSU who they view more as little brother than anything else.

I know many many Michigan fans and none consider ND a rival. 3rd at best maybe. A historical match up yes but that is it. Historically ND-MSU has been a much more of a rivalry than Michigan.

They had two defensive scores, so their offense managed 17 points.

Their RB is solid, their backup QB I think has a little more juice than the guy they started the season with. Totally forgot or didn’t know CJ Williams ended up out there. Honestly a decent season for him.

Just gotta handle business and prep for their field to be like the rough at Bethpage.

Obviously this game should be another happy game like Saturday but I hope the holidays, the travel, & the fact that we are just head and shoulders above them doesn’t cause the boys lose focus on the task at hand. I want a game like the last two years not an 05 tight game.

The worst part is that there are games all day friday as well. So 3 time slots on Friday... 4 more on Saturday and ND plays in the last of 7 windows.
