that defense doesn't worry me other than the fact that they have caused a lot of turnovers according to the guys covering last night's game but that offense though scares the crap out of me as i saw several players with some sort of speed to them make plays down the field with the ball and then Williams could be a nightmare for our defense next weekend with that arm and the speed he has when running the ball

Even for a USC QB, the guy is incredibly unlikable.
Agreed! He has horrible composure and body language, comes across as a whiner and I have watched a handful of Fusc games this season. He wouldn't get away with half of it if he wasn't being paid to be there and I say that because I don't remember him doing that at Oklahoma last season. He has really taken on the diva role IMO.

They are a paper tiger. You can’t build a proper deep roster or a healthy culture in one season regardless of how many transfers you bring in. Doesn’t matter how gifted an offensive mind you have. Chuck Weis is proof.

What would you give to have Brady Quinn as QB this season? Ahh imagine!

I do wish Kollie and Snead were ready for primetime. Their athleticism at LB is exactly what we need to contain Williams.

We are better on both lines and our lines keep getting better every week. Watching last night there wasn’t any D being played. Both QB’s had all day to pass. USC won’t have that luxury.

As much as I hate this scenario, I think a 1 loss Michigan team would beat the snot out of a 1 loss USC team.

SC has a dynamic offense... But they are far from a playoff team. The interesting thing is that I think even the voters see it.

USC has an average defense who gives up 4.46 yards per carry. Safe to assume ND will continue with the ball control, 3 headed rushing attack and try not to get into a track meet.

Curious to see opening odds.
USC -6.5

That USC running back #6 comes through the hole upright like he was last night he’s going to get destroyed. I love matchups like this. The big, strong, tough battle tested team vs the high flying finesse Hollywood team. Smack them hard early and watch what happens.

Trap game for USC. Just won an emotionally draining rivalry game and they've got the Pac-12 title game the week after. There are worse positions for ND to be in. Offense needs to be on its best behavior.
I hope so but I see it as one game that can seal their CFP resume & win their QB the Heisman.

I mean, to put it in perspective. Even including today's game, USC has forced 10 turnovers in the last 7 games.

Meanwhile, ND has forced the same number of turnovers in the last 5 games. That doesn't even include blocked punts.

So if they're really good at forcing turnovers, that must mean we're really REALLY good at it.
Agreed. I’m hoping ND is following a similar trend. I’m sure Rees is well aware of their TO margin.

You guys are drunk on the Koolaid. Football's runaway number one never-took-a-snap smirking a$$hole, Paul Finebaum, just said: "Notre Dame's not good, so USC's only problem will be the conference championship."

That should end that discussion.

This late in the season they should be able to contribute more on defense. I think MF said after the game that Snead can play the rest of the season and not burn his RS.

Joey Galloway and Dan Mullen both said ND can beat USC.

Battle of the talking heads begins.

How is he still employed on a CFB show? I loved how he always bashed BK when he was at ND. Now watch how he suckles his teet after his success.

He’s also a UT alum so that explains a lot.
