BK: Thinks Alize Jones and Jerry Tillery hit a wall a few weeks ago. Seeing them coming back to where they were earlier in the year.

BK: Schmidt made a couple plays he hadn't made earlier in the year Saturday, but also lined up wrong a few times, which is uncharacteristic.

BK: Loves Kizer's retention. He listens and follows information precisely.

BK: Cole Luke had his best game of the year with eye discipline.

BK: Appreciates Te'o coming back and builds bridges that you want to see in terms of players coming back to visit the program.

Underrated stat of the season and a knock on wood moment.

Deshone Kizer has not lost a fumble.

Fortuna: Kelly's favorite Fenway moment is going to the 1975 World Series with his dad.

Just posted this in Kizer's thread, but Golson had already lost 8 fumbles by this point last season.

I'll take this trade off if he can continue to build on what he did last Saturday.

Reading between the line, BC's front seven may be more stout than Wake Forest's but they don't have the speed and athletic ability on the back end.

Against most teams BC can dominate without extra pressure coming from the the db's.

Wake may have actually been better than Clemson in coverage, so they were able to put extra hats up front. Between their athleticism and schematics. (Clawson and Co are a really great staff; what about Addazio?), BC won't have that advantage. At all.

Wake had a third advantage, Kelly dialed back the ND offensive game plan against the Demon Deacons. Way back. This was just the third aspect (along with great athleticism and good WF coaching) what those db's needed to stay in the game against Notre Dame.

Not this weekend.

Expect ND to go deep often. This past weekend after the game, Kelly said twice that the staff may have been too conservative with the offense, which did play into WF's defensive game plan.

But it did provide the more untested ND players what they needed to play within themselves, keep a focus, and build a whole lot of confidence.

  • This week Josh and CJ may just alternate, which would be huge.
  • Holmes stepping up behind Fuller on the wide side is a huge statement on how much the bench is maturing. There are others that Kelly could have named without the speed.
  • Jones may be back to high level function. I bet Kelly manipulates the BC game plan with double tight end sets; that was the one thing that forced WF to go back to single coverage on Will Fuller.

I must say I really like those uniforms. They should use those permanently.

They look great- a lot better than the hideous guacamole jerseys we'll be in. If you are going to wear green jerseys, they should be forest green. The hockey team has made the same mistake from time to time (see hideous green and forest green).

When the hockey team played BC in Fenway a year and a half ago, they looked a lot better than the football team will on Saturday:

Yes. Fenway Park screams "DO SOMETHING RETRO AND OLD SCHOOL AND CLASSIC," not "try to be Oregon but uglier."

Yep green jerseys with that Red Sox font is all they needed to do for an A+. I'll never forgive them for it.

Just got my ticket. So pumped. I thought I ordered regular standing room but it's actually right field pavilion standing room. Way better. Counter for food and drinks, super easy access to bathrooms and concessions, and I'll be more or less at midfield.

I think the ND green jerseys are supposed to be the same color as the Green Monster....although it doesn't seem to be a great match.

Most years, I dislike the SS jerseys until I see them on TV. Hoping they will look better on TV and at the stadium.

Got tickets for the dugout area seating, $65 for a "limited visibility" seat. Anyone care to define "limited visibility"?

See you in Bahston, it's gonna be wicked awesome.
