How is ND'S defense this bad? Looked like world beaters the first three games of the season. So tired of garbage teams coming into South Bend and playing like a top five team. You know it's bad when teams go for it on 4th and 3, and get the first. Damn it!

They were NEVER that good. We built all our BVG hype on the Michigan game and we never reevaluated our expectations based on the fact that Michigan turned out to be fucking terrible.

It's the same as people claiming we'd be a playoff team because of a "quality win" over Stanford or how we should be "happy with 9-3 because that's what most people predicted at the start of the season." Our opponents have been just plain bad but we still act like beating Stanford and Michigan is somehow worth a damn.

We played Stanford, FSU, and ASU--3 total good teams thus far.

Now look at our offense, looking like our Defense.

Regardless of how good or bad we thought they were a few weeks ago, they were still playing a heck of a lot better than they are now.
