This was a game that Notre Dame shits the bed and loses, or we sit here and complain that we were easily the better team and should have won by more than 3. The fact the ND continually made mistakes, but scored 45 points and put the game out of reach, despite that score at the end is telling.

I have no idea if ND ever wins a Natty again, but this run the past few years has been fun to watch. And the fire kelly thread has disappeared.

BK is on to something- beast mode over speed. #11 especially today.

We’re just going to out big the country and I’m cool with that.

I thought they would smoke BC and they pretty much did very classy of Kelly to end the game the way they did Phil has improved his throwing motion but he s not the QB at the college level that Book is now so the move was good but wish he d stayed. (Phil may be a pro though) very nice end of game for a former Notre Dame man-this is a very good football team but next week is a game I thought they d loose-man I want to be wrong again. This game had a lot of breaks that hurt both teams but as Kelly said the mental aspect needs to be addressed great win against another super bowl game for the opponent now get ready for Mack s boys-they are waiting for you. I thought they d win big and they did-next week I m not so sure-make me wrong Go Irish!

Phil still has time to improve, but I can't see him getting drafted honestly. His accuracy is awful, and his spiral needs work. His decision making isn't always great, careless with the football. Positives are a big arm and...I don't know. Thought he was supposed to be mobile, but haven't seen much of that. Still time to improve, like I said, but right now I don't know what an NFL team would see in him.

The level of play was what I expected given the magnitude of last week’s game. Championship teams can play like that and still pretty much control the game. I expect the mental focus to be much better against UNC.

Phil sure did skip a lot of balls for a guy with such a big arm. Doesn't say much for his accuracy I guess...

Just so we're clear where we stand. Clemson struggled to beat this BC team 34-28. We beat them handily without any doubt after halftime. And this was the week immediately after the biggest win in the programs recent history. No hangover. Continued solid play by the offense. Book>>Phil. On to UNC. I'm sure plenty of analysts will pick the trendy upset in this one too. The result will likely be similar, UNC will score some points, but ND will score more.

II stated we had a 72% run efficiency (31 of 43 runs were efficient). They Said that was absurd. OLine is really dominating. Keep em healthy

They should have at least showed up to see Molly.

Very poor decision-making in BC fans apparently.

I think the biggest thing is BC was playing inspired for 1 1/2 quarters against Clemson while Clemson was playing with their head in their ass for a half. The Tigers came out at halftime and started stealing signs/adjusting defensively and offensively (Probably a combination) and they started cutting into the lead. We also didn't start smooth, credit BC for capitalizing on some of our mistakes, but we didn't let it affect us and we bounced back sooner. That allowed us to really pull away late in the game, BC lost their fire and motivation.

Here's what I got out of yesterday's game:
1) The Jurk couldn't beat out Book while at ND and the Jurk couldn't beat ND/Book yesterday.
2) I didn't like the 3 taunting calls on ND, they are better than that.
3) Book is getting better and better at the right time.

Go Irish!

Coach said that the defense was tired at this point and we are looking forward to the bye week. The hidden side of that comment is that the offense was still raring to go. I saw several of our big guys still running downfield and blocking very late in the game. We're blest, gentlemen.

An article in the Boston Globe today says that Phil has played each of the last 2 games w a separated shoulder. If true, that shows a lot of heart. It also shows the coach has either nothing on his bench or isn't smart enough to make a change. It may also explain some of the poor throws yesterday. FWIW.

Honestly, besides Ben’s, I thought the calls were very very soft. Seemed like the refs were trying too hard to prove their power. Also, I like it. I think this team has an edge, they’re cocky. People want this program back to ‘87-‘94... well we weren’t nice back then either.

Hopefully Keys will be back to full 100% soon. Would like to see him more in the upcoming games.

Only negative to the game for me was the three turnovers....

The 'Unsportsmanlike Conduct' calls were all BS....

If these same officials did any SEC game, there would be (minimum) 20 flags for that one call PER game.

so all three unsportsmanlike conduct calls were for taunting? What's going to happen when these guys do a Miami game?

Agreed. I also dont understand people being critical of Pryor for his aggressive play on the onside kick trying to house it...calling it "greedy". Teams like OSU, Bama, Clemson have guys trying to step on throats and trying to make that play all day long, we want guys trying to make plays and being aggressive...if he scoops and scores everybody is on his jock about the amazing play. I 100% want our guys to continue trying to dominate, not "trying not to lose". I'd rather have a guy making a mistake being aggressive and trying to take it to their opponent than playing conservative/scared all day long.

Completely on board with this take.
