Oh sh*t tie game!
Right, you cannot, and the Duke player's foot was on the line (which counts). Those plays are not reviewable though and the refs missed it (or at least the one who made the call did). LAX would know more since he coaches.I don’t know much about lacrosse at all but I did learn yesterday that you can get beat up pretty good. I though it was more like soccer but now i think it’s more like hockey just running instead of skating.
What happened with the Duke play? I think that I know enough that you can’t be in the circle when you shoot to score. Is that right?

This is correct, the only thing that you are allowed to review in end of game situations are basically timing issues (e.g. did he get the shot off before the clock hit zero? did an offensive player touch it before zero? did the clock start on time? etc.)Right, you cannot, and the Duke player's foot was on the line (which counts). I played soccer all my life until high school where I watched my first lacrosse game (UVA vs Johns Hopkins) with a friend whose dad had played at Navy. I was instantly hooked because soccer was such a soft sport and lacrosse had people running around whacking each other with metal poles and laying bodies like hockey/football. Top 5 decision of my life was dropping soccer for lacrosse.I don’t know much about lacrosse at all but I did learn yesterday that you can get beat up pretty good. They've legislated a lot of the "big hits" out of lacrosse similar to "targeting" in football but it's still very physical which is why so many football players play it for a spring sport.
Same, now a lot more popular here - some family chose lacrosse over baseball so I’ve seen a bit - lot of fun to watch. It wasn’t really a popular sport when I was still in school. I might have played in the fall. They have an indoor league now around here. I don’t know if I could have given up baseball.
