Unfortunately, that's what I would guess too. Wouldn't surprise me to see them give ND a path of Michigan, (6)Maryland, (2)UVA, and (1)Duke either.

Michigan win over Maryland helps our SOS some. 2 vs 3 seed not a big deal. Still meet in national semifinals if you win the first two.

ND has a rough first round matchup with Utah who is electric on offense but if they avoid the upset bid (and they should) Hopkins at #6 is likely an easier road than a rematch with an improved Georgetown, an extremely talented by inconsistent Cornell, or a very well rounded Penn State.

Georgetown is good enough to upset UVA if they don’t get nipped by Yale. Really the only advantage to the #1 and #2 seeds are their first round matchups. The overall paths aren’t easier. If somehow ND avoids the UVA kryptonite then they should win it all because they have blown the doors off every other team they’ve seen this year.

Yeah we really can’t complain about the draw this year. Arguably easier than if we had been higher.
The women OTOH got hosed. I don’t know what UF did to get us at home and Mercer, at 17-2 looks like a tougher game than our ranking should have given us

Better draw than last year! I think this is the most complete team in the tournament. The second game against UVA I’m not too concerned about. The garbage field conditions were a great equalizer to our 1 on 1 matchup advantage. Just a shit game all around. I don’t see this team running out of gas like a few years ago when the weather heats up later in the month. Im excited man. I think this is a great chance to claim that elusive crown.

Not to rain on your parade but Michigan just won the Big Ten conference tourney beating some top ten teams in the process. They are one of, if not the, hottest team in the country right now.

yes but none of those teams in my opinion could stay with the top three teams in the ACC for two full halfs as our conference was just on a different level than any other conference this season. yes Maryland gave us a close game early and then beat UVA but they've been a totally different team worse wise in recent weeks. this same Michigan team got a beatdown at home not long ago by our irish.

Exactly how you want to handle an opening round game. Utah was a top 20 team but ND just stepped on them and the outcome was never in doubt.

Only downside for me - the officiating was legitimately terrible. Zero flags on Utah and ND got jobbed by 5 or 6 questionable calls. Can’t have that in the quarterfinals.

Definitely an ideal first round game....Notre Dame put their foot on the peddle and coasted to an easy win. It wasn't overly physical so they should head to the quarters healthy and ready to roll. Lynch was lights out too..Hopefully that gives him some confidence moving forward. This is a mature, focused team on a mission....Keep it rollin'!

well one of the teams was physical. the other looked like a team that plays Robert Morris, Bellarmine and Cleveland state a lot.

don't know if anyone cares but me but the women play today in the second round of the tournament against Florida. the game will probably be on the espn app like friday's game was.

I wouldn't call it choking, BC is way better than ND. They already lost to them twice this year and the last one was by 5 goals on a neutral site.

No comparison between the men and the women here. Men are elite, women are not. If fact, they have already lost to BC this year although not like they are today which is a rout.
