Overrated, I'm afraid. Needed to switch FO man sooner. Unfortunately, something always goes wrong for NDLX in the tournament. Maybe this is the year that doesn't happen, but I wouldn't bet on it.

It'll be #1 Duke vs #2 Notre Dame this weekend at Arlotta. If ND wins that game they are pretty much a lock for the #1 seed should they beat Virginia in the rematch.

horrible choke job by our irish as they lose today to 7th ranked BC after being up by 4 in the 4th. hope the men do a better job against Duke at 4 pm on ESPNU

Irish win and ESPN hyping Pat Kav for POY. Alsom hitting on the "this could be a special year" for ND but I'll wait a few more weeks for that.
But I don't see how we fall out of the top five nationally between now and Selection Sunday so a bid looks to be an almost certainty with our record and SOS.

ND currently has 2x Top 5 wins and 2x Top 10. They have an opportunity to add another top 5 win and potentially two more top 10 wins (if UNC holds at #9)… realistically, as long as they beat UVA, there is virtually no scenario where they aren’t the #1 seed.

I could definitely see them sweeping UNC, and losing to UVA on the road...Which might not be a bad thing...Hard to beat a team 3 times, and there's a good possibility they see UVA at some point during Memorial Weekend.

game pretty much over with 5 mins to go as they are down 11-7- got to give UVA credit as it looked from the beginning of the game that they were not going to let Pat or Chris K be factors at all in this game.

You can’t just shoot the ball so badly that the opposing goalie has 20 saves. They missed a bunch of bunnies and also played awful settled offense… couldn’t dodge for shit, guys were slipping and sliding all over the place.

Really good team defense today but holy crap was that the worst the ND has looked this year by a country mile.

Their goalie's save % is 51% for the year. I think it was mostly our offense but who knows. The field conditions weren't great.

That said, UVA clearly owns us. Sure, we could beat them, but I'd rather not have to play them.

And an ACC title would have been great, but we have a bunch of those. It's not the unfinished business for the program at this point in its history.

Definitely their ugliest performance of the year on offense, but the field was absolute trash. This loss absolutely makes their path to Memorial Weekend tougher, but I truly think they still get there....They are most likely a 3 seed in the tourney now...UVA will be the 2. Hopefully the "Hard to beat a team 3 times in one season" holds true, because ND is going to see this team in the semis.

Nothing about scheme, it’s the size of defensemen and the overall athleticism. ND offense is built on winning 1v1 matchups to get things going. They couldn’t do that against UVA.
