I'm in the minority here but I take one of Kelly and Collins and call it at WR. 1 of J. Thomas, Colzie, and Greathouse can play the field. No injuries and Thomas or Greathouse would have been our #1 receiver this year. We have other priorities than wide receiver if they're trying to put together a well rounded national championship contender of a roster.

Also don't want to risk the entire future at wide receiver for all 1 year rentals.

I'm also ok if we take 2 proven WRs. I think 3 is a want not a need, especially if KK Smith shows he belongs in bowl games. Field WR is supposed to be fast though and not sure Colzie or JG are that, maybe JG.

I'm fine with taking two. Two transfers on the two deep plus Thomas, Colzie, Faison, and Greathouse. Then Smith and the freshmen are added depth. That's just what modern WR rooms are going to look like with the portal. Two a year may even be necessary going forward.

Sheppard is the big head scratcher. With Kelly dragging his feet on committing, I'd be shocked if the coaches aren't making calls to multiple additional WRs, trying to get some quick visits set-up.

The staff have shown they are being aggressive and apparently FUND is throwing some weight around.

I wonder what percentage of transfers that we offer, we get? Seems we hit on a very high rate. One thing I do like about the portal is that you know in a relatively short period of time if you get the guys you offer.

I think it's high because there's so much early back channeling that offers are only going out to those reciprocating.
