I wonder what percentage of transfers that we offer, we get? Seems we hit on a very high rate. One thing I do like about the portal is that you know in a relatively short period of time if you get the guys you offer.

I think we'll never know because transfers are so different than HS recruits. Transfers decide in a week, so it's more a call to see if any interest and move on, and we'll never know how many calls are made.

ND hit a home run with Kelly. He’s returning to WSU for graduation. If he takes the Tech visit ND will pivot. If he doesn’t, it probably means he committed because ND wants it wrapped up soon. Per Loy.

Pretty wild Tech is our competition. Seems like he should be significantly more sought after considering his production

He very well could be, a lot of these guys already have an idea of where they are going or where they would like to go.

Me neither. Tech throws the ball even less than ND but they also didn't have anything approaching a #1 wide receiver. If his interest in ND was that he thought he would be the unquestioned #1 guy then adding Mitchell might have given him pause.

A lot of this seems to be a negotiating ploy. They use the visits as leverage to get the number they’re looking for.

TT throws ~25% more often. 426 passes vs 332.

The only thing I can think of is that it's a very deep WR group in the portal, and there will definitely be other good WR's who will enter before the portal closes. Will Sheppard is arguably the best grad transfer WR and he's from an elite academic institution (Vandy) and ND hasn't offered him.

Leonard, Mitchell, Kelly, Collins would be a brand new offense and such an unbelievable upgrade over last year. Not sure if "elite" but if true frosh Faison/Greathouse make the jump as slot players then yeah... it's going to be one of the best combos of pass catchers + QB ND has had in awhile.

Have a hard time believing they could lock down Collins if we get a commit out of Kelly soon. Kids arent transfering to be WR3.

Because Kelly himself doesn't know what he's going to do in regards to TT. He's rushing home for graduation ceremony this weekend, then the TT is scheduled and it's all whether he follows through or not.

Would guess we don't hear anything until next week.
