He's a good player when healthy buy boy he hasn't looked really good in a game since the Finale last year against WF!
He had two games vs Power 5 Opp. with QBR scores in the 90's earlier this season before he got injured vs ND.
If that doesn't constitute a "really good game" then your standards are very high for college QB play!

Would you consider allowing multi-quote into your life?

Someone explain to me like I’m 5 why this guy is a good pick up.

My only sample is the game against him from this year and gamelogs, which both looked pretty pedestrian.

Would you have wanted Caleb Williams after his game against us?

I understand why a casual review would leave some hesitant.

Last year, he was considered a borderline first rounder. This year, he started off really well and then had his ankle nearly snapped by Howard Cross. With his mobility completely taken away, their offense had to be changed midseason. They don't have nearly the supporting staff/OL to shift the plan so dramatically and his numbers dipped as a result.

He's not going to be a 73% completion percentage, making tons of tight window throws. (at least not yet).

He is 100% a very athletic QB who has a strong enough arm to make all the throws needed at the college level to be competitive and win 10+ games/playoff contention. If our staff can help him improve, even incrementally, and we surround him with weapons, then we should have a very potent offense.

Defensive coordinators hate trying to contain dual threat QBs who have tons of weapons. It's not an easy proposition, especially if they have a very good OL. That's what we have to hope for, a really strong OL, capable of moving the LOS and giving Leonard time to make the right reads.

The truest test will be when Leonard faces a defense that is formidable, that loads the box and challenges him to beat them over the top. Then it becomes much more about the WRs winning their matchups, the TEs blocking/getting separation and the RBs on blitz pickup/routes out of the backfield. None of us knows how that would play out but Leonard looks like a really high quality QB capable of elevating his game even more.

If you're not sure why to be excited about the possibility of Leonard, watch this video.

And then realize he has NFL caliber arm strength and pocket awareness. There are things he should work on, but also nobody looks great with pedestrian talent around them. His ceiling could be absurd.

He has a hell of a quick first step.

Loy, minutes ago -"Confident ND will be a player here"

Aeneas Peebles - DT, Duke.

2023: 40 tackles, 27 pressures, 8.5 TFLs, 4 sacks

Not a fan of his length, but he grades out fairly high.

It would make sense if either Mills or Cross (or both) don't return.

One of his best games of the season came against ND.

He also just followed WR Antwane Wells from South Carolina who was amazing as a sophomore and junior but was hurt this year and just entered the portal

As a sophomore he had 83 receptions for 1250 yards and 15 TD
As a junior 68 receptions for 928 yards and 6 TDs

Thing about Leonard is, there's no sure-fire, obvious QB1 in the portal. But he has Josh Allen-like attributes and he is a leader. You can tell it when you watch Duke and also a captain. If you're going to shoot your shot, do it on the 6'4", 215 guy who runs like a truck and has experience on the field and leading.

He also is an "Off the bus" type of QB that we really haven't ever had since Quinn.

I of all people understand this isn't that important but man he had the look pre game with the team against ND vs hartman being off on his own.

Leonard just had an absolutely terrible line and talentless WRs this year to work with, plus he pretty much broke his ankle against us.
